According to today's Daily Mail, the most creative player in Europe based on chances created per game is .......................... Mark Gower.

Chances created per game by Gower are 3.8, followed by Nene of Paris St. Germain at 3.6

If only he could put away the chances that are created for him<whistle>

So the stats tell us that Monk is the fastest and Gower is the most creative ???? hmmm... is it near April by any chance or those stats compiled by Stevie Wonder ?

The confidence Gower created in Graham with one perfectly weighted pass, over the defender , for Graham to score can't really be measured , but it was huge . Better renew his contract soon before Real Madrid or Barcelona come for the old timer .

I am surprised the most creative playet isn't Suarez. Some of his antics yesterday would surely get full marks for artistic merit.

Personally I can't stand Suarez. Ok, he has some games where he doesn't do it, but yesterday at times, and countless others, I've seen him take the "fall over and try and get someone sent off" option, rather than the "bust a gut and try and control the ball" option. Disgusting behaviour and the sooner referees get harsh with it the better.

So Gower creates 3.8 chances per game? It would be interesting to see his efficiency with those chances.

Its great he is creating the most out of everyone but my slight problem with him remains in that he needlessly gives the ball away too much, not the times when he is looking to create something, but those ones where he is in the middle of the park under no pressure and misplaces a pass!!

    Gower !!!!

I think someone will have to phone the Mail and enlighten them on a certain Mr L Messi and his teammates. If Gower is more creative than that lot then I'm the Pope.

To some extent it shows you can prove anything you want if you choose what to include/exclude. I think the stats include chances created from corners/free kicks and also it was hugely biased by the Wolves and Bolton games which we bossed where I think he created 6 chances in one and 7 in the other.

We all know Gower is not our most creative player, that accolade rightly goes to Leon & Joe, Or and if the King Bodde comes back, then he'll cap the lot of them!.....................
