Football has long been known to bring out the worst in some. Hatred and bitterness arguably the most unsavory facets of the beautiful game. Although I never like to generalize, which PL fans are the most bitter or have let their bitterness consume them ?
I was worried about this. The middle man was never going to make it unscathed out of delivering such a delicate yet relevant thread
... just messing with you fella ... although I don't think it has anything to do with particular teams but rather the psyche of individuals... e.g if you started supporting a team due to it's 'success' rather than geographical / ancestral or spiritual links you are more likely to take umbrage when your prime motivator fades .. Aristotle
I have no beef with Liverpool as a club or set of fans at all but there seems to be a general feeling they are owed something due to the size of the club. Leeds fans and Yorkshire folk in general seem quite bitter a lot of the time though I'm not sure bitter is the right word for them.
Fans of clubs that spend a long time in the shadow of a larger more successful club may exhibit this trope. The longer the period of waiting for success of any kind, the more their ire grows. It's almost proportionate. Say for example your club hadn't won the league for 50 years. What would the levels of bitterness be when they are compared to their much larger, classier or more successful neighbours?
Those who begrudge others success bcos their own team is so 5hit. In freudian terms it reflects a sense of penis envy. These people usually have small d1cks, and that includes the women.
This is why I don't begrudge the fact Chelsea are punching above their weight maintaining a steady lower mid-table PL spot
This is a tough one. Obviously i prefer Chelsea to win the league but in the meantime whilst Jose is trying his best to get us relegated its really hard to root for a particular team. Don't think i would begrudge Everton or Spurs winning the league but thats unlikely. Also don't mind City, why? Imagine the ****ing dickwaving we'd have if one of Arsenal, Pool or United win. The Arsenal bunch (for the most part minus AFC) would be lauding it up, Astropool by himself + Mr Smug (brenton) would be just as bad but i really can't stand LVG or UIR so those 3 are deffo out of the equation
You need fans to have bitter "fans", so that rules out Chelsea and Man City. I agree Liverpool, UTD and Arsenal have bitter fans, but thats because they are in general used to success and when its not there, some fans get "bitter"
I imagine it would go something like this: http://www.not606.com/threads/jose-premier-leagues-greatest.299847/ http://www.not606.com/threads/chelsea-have-been-so-dominant-this-season.300260/ http://www.not606.com/threads/chelsea-most-dominant-team-ever-in-history-of-prem.301772/ What's that thing that comeths before a fall again?
Don't know. Can't say I spend my time licking other people to see how bitter they are. I do know who the weirdest are..... Saints
Lol, i can imagine our fans could be like that. I can say i haven't personally gone to rub it in anyones face. Now you have it all there and have experienced it all the more reason why you can see why i wouldnt want any of the 3 i mentioned to win it
City will be added to your list in time. So would Spurs and Everton if they won a few titles. And if you think the Chelsea fans weren't waving their dicks around until recently then you're deluded. You've got the biggest dickhead on the forum as your chief contributor (although he's been relatively quiet since mid August).
Mr Stan you need to read please. I haven't denied we don't have dickwavers in our camp. I'm just saying what i would prefer from my own perspective. Likewise it's probably the same list for yourself (except you probably hate City)
