Me and a mate of mine (a Derby fan but he's ok really) were talking about best and worst players to have graced the Premier League but we started talking about the most average, unspectacular players that somehow managed to keep getting picked every week. We tried to put an eleven together but stopped after a few, but who would make yours? You could probably fill it with Cov and Saints players from the late 90s/early 00s. These aren't just terrible footballers, they are players that were ok, but you never noticed what anybody else saw in them. I'd struggle to find a keeper because on the whole, they've been either very good or very bad. My votes would be for: Nelson Vivas, Francis Benali, Matt Holland, Chris Marsden, Alan Smith (Leeds), Darren Fletcher, John Eustace, Ugo Ehiogu, Graham Fenton Just a bit of fun
Haha good thread this one. My one (more modern) would be: Bogdan (honestly, i have no idea where his rave reviews came from at all, i think he is dreadful). Nicky Hunt Aaron Hughes James Collins Phil Bardsley Mark Jarvis Steve Sidwell Dean Whitehead Gueye Federico Macheda Marc-Antoine Fortune.
Where's the one and only Junior Lewis? I'm thinking it's the only thing both City and Leicester fans have in common, that he was one of the worst players ever to play for either club.
Yeah, and we're still above you! You got it wrong anyway! Jakupovic Chester Faye Hobbs Elmohamady Koren Evans Quinn Brady Aluko Simpson
Junior Lewis will be hanging out the back of Peter Taylor I imagine but you're right he was fookin awful!
Junior Lerwis was just plain bad - we're talking about players that are always in the side, don't do anything particularly wrong but don't really do a lot of anything
Can't add a full team but can chuck in a few names- John Obi Mikel- Chelsea Lee Cattermole- Sunderland Scott Parker- Spurs Gareth Barry- Manchester City Up until this season I probably would have thrown Michael Carrick in. I realise they're all midfielders and thus wouldn't make much of a team. I just don't understand what any of them do!
But your not in the Premier league and you only have been once. Just remind me, how many times have Leicester been in the PL ??
