Title says it all, who really get on your nerves? there are lots of contenders from sky and BBC and I see more sense talked by posters on here than what comes out of their mouths. A few contenders.... Mark Lawrenson (sp?) - would rather watch paint dry then listen to him, most negative man in the world possibly? Robbie Savage - Clearly knows nothing and can hardly put a sentence together plus e has a stupid haircut. Garth Crooks - enthusiastic but again never talks much sense. Paul Merson - Daft plank. Feel free to add your own and agree/disagree.
Gotta be Crooks, he doesn't seem to contribute any actual knowledge of his own, just recycles already stated opinion, in a long winded manner. I love Savage actually, cracks me up, and against the grain I do like Lawrenson, again, as he is a witty man, admittedly he sometimes gets on my tits. I do have a laugh at Merson at times, but he is a complete bell-end, and Le Tissier, seems to have died down but he went through several years of despising all things SAFC, so he has to go on the list, despite his wonder years of Mag slaughtering.
Alan Brazil on Talksports Radio...He bloody hates us and always puts us down..He even stated the other day that Dempsey shouldn't sign for us because our only ambition should be to avoid relegation..
They all have nowt on Warren Barton, and the 3 other planks i have to put up with. Talking about near PK's and left footed volley skills.
On a side note one of my favourites has to be Chris Kamara, he cracks be up, and of course Jeff Stelling.
Kamara & Stelling are absolute legends, I can't even put into words how much. To be fair, Soccer Saturday is just about the perfect football show.
This. Le Twat slagged us rotten for years, for reasons which remain something of a mystery to me. Same thing with Rodney Marsh, although Rodney's teeth need less work.
Jeff Stelling is a TV pundit God. The best bloke on sports TV on the planet and the BBC should be offering him whatever he wants be the main man for Sports. Kammy is dafter than the daftest brush and a breath of fresh air. Love sunday Supplement with him. Dare I say it without betraying my inner feelings but I actually think Shearer is alright. Gives and unbiased report on the match and even praises us warmly at times. Lineaker is my all time England footy player, so I am biased but I think he is very good too and has grown into being a pretty good all rounder. Hazel Irvine is okay (and in a strange way i never thought possible, very shaggable these days); Clare Balding is brilliant buit totally un-shaggable. Getting tired of Lawro/Hansen on MotD and as for Crooks, I'd happily punch him until my hand hurts, the annoying twat. Out of all of them, Haley McQueen is the best - and as for her ability as a pundit? Who gives a ****. Lol
On the flip side, Jeff Stelling is very good, and perhaps a bit more controversial, I think that Shearer has improved a hell of a lot from his early days and I find him alright..
I will be the 3rd to say I reckon Shearer is pretty decent. Same reasons as Cest, Lineker is a pure legend, I even used to have Quaser boots cos he did!
I can see Shearer actually makes a conscious effort to praise Sunderland whenever he gets chance on motd, probably kills him inside but he has to make sure he's not biased. For pundits, Phil Thompson is a bit of a muppet, but the worst one for me is Lawrenson - awful. He comments on peoples appearance far more than the game! You guys won't like this but one commentator who really annoys me is one of Sky's newest additions, Niall Quinn. He along with Ray dickhead Wilkins are probably the most biased commentators I've ever heard. Quinn more with City than Sunderland and Wilkins with his nose so far up Chelsea and QPR it's ridiculous.
Sorry - I'd just like to add to that, that Gary Neville is the most knowledgeable of them all and is by far the best person in history to ever commentate, go on Nev!!
To add another SAFC legend to this, anyone else notice that SuperKev slates us whenever he covers our games?
I don't think "Superkev" has the vocab to go the full distance in commentary, he seems like he uses all of his brain for football. Decent when he's on though, because I like player perspective as opposed to people who spend most of their time going through bins and talking about the 80's.
