Seems like Chelsea have got their man - I am somewhat pleased he wont be playing Saturday...

Is he worth the £10m or so...not so convinced.

He's not bad. A lot to work on in terms of final ball but he's got a lot of potential. But if I was offered Moses for £10m or Ramirez for £12m...

My thoughts exactly - you'd take your right leg off anytime for Gaston...

I wouldn't be that happy about him not playing Saturday, for one I don't think he's that good, and secondly when a key/big name player gets sold or left out, teams tend to be full of spirit-possibly due to wanting to prove that they aren't a one man team. Examples off of the top of my head are Fulham (without Dempsey), West Ham (without Scott Parker) and us (without Chamberlain).

Great news, I thought the deal was going to go through after the game at the weekend. Nice timing for a change.

Fulham have played one game without Dempsey, West Ham without Scott Parker had just gone down and kept a strong squad (still only got playoffs) and Chamberlain certainly wasn't our best player.

One less threat to be dealing with I suppose.

Fulham, fair point but we will see and this high spirit doesn't last that long I don't think. West Ham, true but he was their best player by a country mile in the Premier League and would have been a huge loss for the team, but the team would have been happy in a way to get rid of a player wanting to leave. Chamberlain wasn't our best player no, but he was certainly receiving a lot of interest and publicity and I think that his unsettlement would have upset the dressing room and when he left, it made the team feel a bit more freedom and unity.

Without Rodallega & Moses they are undoubtedly weaker, its a fact, its a good thing. Still, we need to go out & play our own way & make it difficult whoever turns up. I was happy before, I'm happier now.

Still one of their best players though. And defending against pace is the one worry I have over Fox. Plus, whilst those stats might be representative of his season as a whole last year, they don't reflect how he finished the season. Like his team as a whole, he looked excellent to me in those final two months.

Well, Moses will likely be replaced by Crusat for Saturday, and pace is about the only thing Crusat has.

    He's fast.

Maybe we should stick Clyne on the left and Richardson on the right. :p
