Watching Moses today I thought he looked pretty good and would be a decent addition to the squad but I don't think we need him.

Players who could play on the wing / attacking mid...
Mata, Hazard, Marin, Oscar, Ramires, Bertrand, Sturridge, Piazon - All likely to stay and can put a good shift in on the wing.

Also Benayoun & Malouda but not sure if they're leaving so whatever.

Now, I think we should definitely sign Azpilicueta at right back.
But instead of signing another winger/striker I think we should spend it on a DM instead, a quality DM!
Buy someone in the mold of Modric, Javi Martinez, Cabaye.....Basically your Xavi type player. This sort of player will helps us a lot more than another winger or striker.

Let players like Hazard, Marin, Oscar gel and see how they do this season and give Torres & Sturridge a chance till at least January. Both proven goalscorers!

Thoughts? Who do you think we should sign? <ok>

I'm surprised Chelsea haven't been more linked with M'Vila, I think he'd fit perfectly into this 4-2-3-1 formation. The Rennes chairman said that M'Vila has played his last game, so I assume he's off to Arsenal - a great signing for them

But I actually think Chelsea could do with Moses. Benayoun and Malouda especially aren't good enough. Ramires should be moved to centre mid in my opinion, Sturridge should be moved to the striker position, I think he's much better there. I'm not sure if Piazon is ready for much more than a few carling cup games. So that leaves Mata, Hazard, Marin and Oscar for the three attacking midfield roles. Of those three, Marin is the only real winger, and so another 'true' winger wouldn't go amiss.

Call me Mr Picky, but all of those are creative Midfielders, not defensive ones. I agree we need a DM with a bit more nous than Obi Mikel though. He is being found out by our own forward thinking midfielder's, making spaces and runs that he does not see, and ends up passing 2 yards to Lampard all the time. If he attempts a longer than 2 yard pass it more often goes astray, and please don't get me started on his shooting, never have I seen a player miss the target, nay get anywhere near it so often, and then we'll move on to how many times he dwindles on the ball and has it taken away from him. Most times near our own penalty area, he is a nightmare to watch. His only redeeming talent is defending, but midfield, for me. It's a big NO.

Lukaku is our Moses, just a bit younger thats all! Let him earn his stripes at WBA and he'll be up and running for next season!

Well the sort of player that is identical to Mikel without his misakes, has just gone off to Barca for a reasonable price.

Alex Song, can defend, can pass and can get forward when bombarding a team. But we dont seem to be in the know when players are going for peanuts comapred to the market

Same with RVP, we are looking for a striker all summer and on who has scored plenty of goals in the premier league has just gone to strengthen a rival for a fee less than what we have been trying to pay for unproven talents

Back to the midfielder issue, it seems we are waiting for Modric move to fail and sending maybe Meireles and Sturridge (both wanted by AVB) in return, I think as soon as Modric makes his move to Madrid we will go elsewhere for a dictator, Lampard has been playing okay but has been getting caught and making rash tackle as he cant keep up with the quicker players

Modric, Cabaye, Sahin are 3 play making midfielders we could look at

MVila and Tiote are two tough tackling midfielders we could look at

But my personal choice would be Marouane Fellaini, athletic, pass, shoot, head, tackle......Belgian!!!!!

I think Mikel is a HG (trained in UK for 3 yrs before 21) if so then Chelsea would want to replace him with another HG as you have to have 8 in squad. I think Song is HG too.

Well I'd keep Mikel, Lampard, Romeu & Essien and sign..........Fellaini is a great shout! Have those 5 for this season ( also Ramires )

Then maybe next season sign another DM as I reckon there is a good chance Lampard & Essien could leave next season.

In the current squad we have Meireles (didnt look happy on Sunday), Essien, Malouda and Benayoun who could and 3 of which will leave in my opinion, young Josh has already gone out on loan (great by the way)

Hoping Lamps gets the 16 goals he needs to overtake Tamblings record

And yeah Fellaini showed why he is the boss, best all round center midfielfer in the league for me,
