SLP twitter says the Morrison deal has fell through as Sheff Wed wanted way too much money for the lad. I guess we'll see what happens from here. I liked this move, but I'd still like Legge
Fair enough- CP said he has two separate lists for transfer targets. If Sheff Weds want too much then move on. I wonder if they are rejecting purely because they have seen us attack the transfer market and their fans have more than noticed...
Now other clubs have seen that we have money to spend they're hiking up the price when we come in for one of their players.
I too liked the look of this move Hell...!! Hopefully it's a case of a bit of jiggery pokery behind the scenes for the deal to be back on...
Personally, I think the SLP talk a load of crap. They've been wrong about most of our buys this season. Dont think it will be down to the fee alone, reckon the lad might also be on a good screw. Perhaps we need to give him a decent signing on fee, and thus lower his weekly wage, so overall he gets paid the same.
If Wednesday don't need to sell, there's little reason why they would, surely? Certainly not to us. We're not going to be held to ransom and there must be easier targets than Wednesday...
Maybe Wednesday are finally realising that we mean business with our promotion aspirations this year. If I were them I wouldn't want to sell either.
lets not forget we had bids for Wiggins and Green rejected before eventually signing for us I just see this as all part of the bidding process, no-one accepts a first offer which is probably what the SLP are reporting on and why Francis also isn't a Bournemouth player yet
Hope this means that we weren't going to be held to ransom over price and Wednesday accepted our initial offer, or at least reduced the asking price. A bit concerned that he didn't seem to set fires alight at Wednesday, despite good reviews before. But we certainly need a CB, so more than happy to give him a chance.
