We´ve strengthened in similar ways And deserve a share of the praise, For how things have gone For Canary and Swan So far, so good Premier League days Both with a young manager who Are clear in what they want to do, And a squad who though Inexperienced, show The hunger of still being new So how will things go Saturday When your lot migrate here to play, Methinks that a close Game could have a dose Of last minute scoring one way A feature of last season´s spree We´ve not seen that regularly, Since we´ve been up here In the rarified air But in this game, well it could just be We both know a win here would aid The target our managers made, At the season start To still be a part Of this league when all games are played And if we can emulate, some Our last home game, much will be won, And avoid the blip Of an early slip As we had with the Baggies from Brum With you lot looking, I dare say To pick up your first points away, It should be a spree Worth going to see With end to end stuff on the day But I´ll say that on our own patch With luck, we should just be a match, So you leave us mute Without much dispute Still waiting for those points to hatch. Anyway, have a good trip, and as you would say, `Croeso i ein ty`
Very good mate, hope it will be a good one as well, was going to come up for the game, but work has made that impossible still we are both flying so one of us will have our wings clipped on saturday hope its not us, just can't see a draw!
´Tis a hard one to call, Jager and Hit The Road You let in few goals as a team, At home, but then when you´re not at your abode You´re generous in the extreme While we tend to score both at home and away Although, not in that much excess, I still say a home win or draw on the day Is a likely result of this test.
RBF, are you in Copenhagen? Where there's so much bacon it's hard to be vegan, But don't worry, just go, Across the bridge to Malmo, And have a salad with ex-president Reagan. Copyright: Aswan_dam 2011
A win for us is not in your plans But you clearly have too much time on your hands. Sorry, best I could do. As for being generous on the road if you mean conceding heavily to two clubs who will be fighting for the title and actually giving a goal to Arsenal, you're right. Thing is, the Canaries aren't in the same bracket as those teams are they? Watched the game v WBA which you lost 1-0 at home and I thought both teams were pretty poor. No offence.
Hit The Road - no offence taken, and the W. Brom game was far and away our worst league performance this season, we conceded early and never looked like getting back into it, but they were quite content to sit on their 1-0. Looking forward to tomorrow, should be a good game between two sides who want to attack. and aswan - Not Copenhagen, no But been to Malmo To pick up the occasional swede, To add to the stew When wanting to brew A good feast to go with the mead.
The lovely canary is a pretty yellow But the regal swan is a fiersome fellow I suspect you find when tomorrow is done That the long necked ones have won two - one!
Diolch - yn - fawr, 2-1 Aswan_dam, With a Sinclair double, boom, thank you mam, But despite this prose and rythmic banter, I hope both teams stay up with a canter.
Very fine verse swimaway I also hope we both stay, But tomorrow´s bout I still have a doubt Will end with joy for old Swannay But to be sure, we shall see Tomorrow from round about three, Who is right or wrong Can majestic swan Outwit canny, pretty canary.
Whilst I admire you efforts with the song of the tongue, I predict tomorrow, you will be undone, It is the Swans you'll stand and hail with a clap, For just like your poetry, your team is crap.
By you failure to try and respond in verse, I reckon I won that battle then Good luck for the season but not for today of course! PS thanks for the enjoyable thread.
I know which one I´d rather win This game or our poetic spin, So thanks swimaway For chatting today 3-1 really does make me grin.
It seems my predictions were rather hasty, and this whole day has left me looking pasty, but I know a smile will soon replace my frown, Cos' as history shows, you can't keep the Welsh down.
