Mornin you, and you, and YOUUUU...

    How are we?

Trust everybody had a good weekend. Who watched the tennis. First time in 77 years. Suppose it would be the equivalent of Millwall getting promoted.... Suppose for the timebeing Murray will be British, not Scottish. What do we see ourselves as?

McCormack has come out and told, both his agent and McDermott that his future lies at Leeds. You'll recall last week that Blackpool made a cheeky 1m offer for him. Its good to see that Players WANT to play for us now....

Leeds hammered Farsley in their first pre season friend, with Smith grabbing a double. Having watched the highlight, the player that stuck out for me was Poleon. He looked strong and confident on the ball, and moving forward up the pitch...

Not long til Leeds hop on trhe plane to Slovenia, we need to make two signings this week. Fingers crossed, could it be today???

    Morning troops

A decent run out in some serious sunshine and plenty of players on display. Smith apparently looks pretty good and is tipped to get plenty of game time this season, along with Ross who may be used as an attacking midfielder??? Already too many midfield players so some will be gone before too long. Murphy got 15 minutes so glad he was there and not in nick in Cornwall with his old mates. Poleon could be used this season too, and more kids on the way.

Wonder who this other player is that BMD wanted to get in before today?

Watched Andy win Wimbledon, but not happy with Salmond hijacking things with his scottish flag stunt. He should be banned from attending again as he knew the rules about banners of any description only being the size of an A4 paper. That bloke is just a bent opportunist who will be kicked out when the majority of Scotts vote against independance. What use an aindependance party whyo cannot win

Good Morning! - and its a lovely morning here in the footballing desert often known as Hampshire.

I feel like a walk around the block in the morning sun, so if any of the Millwall contingent would like to run and fetch their leads........................ walkies! I'll even stop occasionally so they can sniff at a few trees.

Wonder what this week will bring on the transfers front, I have a feeling its going to be interesting.

Morning all. Don't understand what Salmond was on about. It was an all Scottish final - Andy Murray v Jock o' Vich. Of course a Scotsman was going to win. But Andy's ppt says he's British. That's good enough for me.

To matters Leeds, a good work out against non league opposition. It will get tougher, but 5-0's still 5-0. A good start, & Poleon looked a real handful. Austin and Byram still to return, as well as Ashdown. Really hope he pushes Kenny hard for the starting berth. Did anyoje else see Kenny make a prat of himself and nearly gift Farsley a goal?

No idea who'll be coming in, but Brown's first half performance did him no harm. Think with Murphy, Austin, possibly Ross at the head of a diamond midfield and Brown at the base, Tonge and Norris might be looking worried.

    Morning by the way.

Morning all. Great to see a Scottish sportsperson win something. God knows, the poor sods dont get a lot to cheer about. Given the size of our squad Saturday and a couple more to come in, I wonder how long before we clear out some of the rubbish from previous seasons. Hopefully we find out this week who this signing McD has been working on for ages turns out to be

To me Smith looked awkward when the ball was at his feet, obviously far more comfortable with his head...

You may have a point Elland, but at 6ft plenty and with Poleon being able to stick the ball on his head, who cares how clumsy he is at the moment. Maybe that's the side of his game that will develop. So long as Poleon can put the ball on his head and someone from midfield is there to pick up 2nd balls if Smith doesn't actually score himself, all would seem to be well for the moment.

I would like to see a settled and more commanding CB figure. But as I said somewhere else, Ashdown getting the starting GK spot and being more commanding than Kenny should help at the back.

    Morning all <ok>

Murray is British when he wins or when he loses, doesn't make any difference to me, and won't do unless Scotland get their independence. In any case his game has really matured over the last 12 months, particularly on an emotional level and I'm really pleased for him that he won yesterday. Though I really hope he doesn't get knighted for this. We are far too quick on the draw with that these days (see Bradley Wiggins).

On all matters Leeds I'm looking forward to a couple of new signings in the next week, but almost equally as much a bit of a clear out. Our midfield is starting to look bloated already, and we still need width in there so people will be leaving. I can only really think of Pugh at the back who needs moving on, and for me Diouf upfront. I think it's going to be a couple from Green, Tonge, Norris and Austin. Green is the most versatile from that bunch, and Austin showed some potential, with a good break and preseason under his belt I think he'll be more effective this time out. So probably Norris and Tonge at the minute for me.

Glad you got there in the end LiD. Thought you might be suggesting Austin as one to leave. Given what we have to come back and who played on Saturday, I think Pugh, Norris and Tonge will leave soon.

I also think a diamond formation might be the making of White as well, escpecially if he's been told to get to the byline and aim a cros for Smith on the penalty spot. All in all a good result Saturday with plenty more to come, albeit against somewhat sterner opposition.

Yeah I feel like I've been saying it for far too long, but I genuinely think White should be given another chance under BMD. I still think he has a lot to offer, and Warnock playing him in different positions the few times that he played him last season can't have helped his development.

This has to be his last chance to make a real impact though!

On the understanding that we'll be playing footy on the floor rather than hoofball, even if we do have a 6ft plenty CF, this has to be White's chance to shine. If he can't make a difference or contribute to the success of the team, even off the bench, then best to say bye bye, even if he does have the one thing you can't teach.

Time will tell, but I really get the feeling that it'll be a good season for Leeds. As many have already said, in BMD we trust. MOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Morning,

Pleased for Murray, he did good.

With the friendly on Saturday, very hard to judge too much from just 45 minutes of football and to be honest I've only seen the highlights but I spoke to my dad who was there and he had good things to say about Smith.

Fingers crossed we do get those 2 signings in asap, whoever they are. The longer they have with the rest of the side before the start of the season the better. Indeed it's only 26 days to go until the opening day of the season.

Probably not alone but I'm very much enjoying being able to look forward to pre-season games for once. According to the official site, Byram and Ashdown are both heading to Slovenia which is great news. Pleased too that the youngsters like Killock and Taylor are travelling, would have been a shame if players like that were left out of the trip at the expense of players who might be about to move on. So far so good :)

    Good morning all

Didn't watch the Murray game as I find Tennis boring and the BBC's wall to wall coverage of Wimbledon tedious. I really couldn't care if Murray's Scottish, English or French. But well done to him to winning Wimbledon now the world can concentrate on a more interesting sport Football.

    Now on to Leeds Matters.

It's great to see some loyalty to the club instead of the wage packet it's something I think is missing from the modern game. McCormack should be congratulated on his philosophy and loyalty.

As for Farsley a win is a win and it will only help the confidence of the squad. The real test will be Slovenia when we play professional teams.

As for players you really don't want to guess who we're going to sign as we've got it wrong in the past but McD seems to be bringing some good young talent so I'm pretty happy so far. I do think they'll be 1 or 2 before the Slovenia trip though.
