    Good Morning Folks,

I trust everyone had a good Christmas?

    Straight down to business.

Andy O Brien has been linked with a loan move to Huddersfield. I thought those two had a falling out. Surely Grayson knows how crap he is?

Following our 4-2 loss at Forest yesterday, O'Driscoll has been sacked. If you remember the arab owners originally wanted Warnock to steer them to the Premier League, but Warnock wanted to stay, therefore they opted for O'Driscoll instead. Now that he has gone, could Colin be tempted?

O'Driscoll certainly had a lot of strength in depth bringing in the likes of Lansbury, Hutton, Sharp, Ward and Halford during his tenure. I think any of those players would get straight into our starting XI.

If you were Warnock, would you stay?

Deals are already being done prior to the transfer window opening. Chris Woods is joining Leicester, Beckford has extended his loan spell to the end of the season; Warnock needs to act FAST if we don't want to miss the boat AGAIN....

Morning Elland. Not a great result yesterday, but not all doom & gloom. But in answer to your question, yes I would stay if I were Warnokck. Why? Because the future is bright at ER. I suspect that business is being done in the background & on the quiet. Hopefully h/we'll get the loanees back in plus a couple of new faces.

We can only hope Boggers. It will be nice not only to keep the players that we want to keep, but to pick and choose the new faces we want, rather being lumbered with players that are not up to the job.

Morning all <ok> Garbage result yesterday as i was hoping for more from the lads. could the overnight stay in a hotel have had anything to do with the piss poor performance? SOD was a strange appointment anyway, and obvious that the owners had already made up their minds to bin him prior to playing us. It sounds like they've already approached the ex manc captain and Ipswich and Sunderland failure. They're welcome to him because if its true then they will struggle, even with a decent squad.

No chance of Warnock being tempted out of ER yet, as he'll already have irons in the fire for next week, so lets hope these irons are hot and not steaming poo that we're used to getting. 'Icing on the cake' signings we need to show that the new owners mean business.

I think a lot of our problems yesterday was because we have players coming back from injury, and he's trying to squeeze them into a team that's performed fairly well without them. He needs to manage this better and ensure he keeps all the lads happy and in the know of what he's doing, as we need a squad who are fully committed to the challenge now, and we don't want sulkers.

Great to see Somma back and scoring, but how did he play and look?

Erm about 6ft 1inch, dark hair, fair complextion .......<laugh>

Just having abit of fun Doc, especially after watching that performance, BUT Somma is always in and around the area where he may get the ball to score, obviously not match fit, but dont be surprised if he is not in the starting 11 before long <cheers>

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says they are going to rest Lee Peltier and hope it will rectify a long-standing injury. Peltier missed the defeat at Nottingham Forest and Warnock says he will be rested to see if the injury, that he has struggled with for most of the season will rectify itself. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "He has had a long standing injury so we are going to see how he gets on with a rest and see if it clears up and if it doesn`t we will have to look in other directions to rectify the problem.

Morning Doc, Morning Doha, Somma, I thought needs to work on his upper body strength a bit, apart from that, was good to see he still knew where the goal was....

Morning all. Yesterday was a shambles. On a plus side, McCormack and Somma looked a real threat when playing together. They should have been given a half hour though. Few minutes at the end no addition to anyone. DiMatteo and Keane seem to be favourites for Forest job. Dont think Warnock would stir now given all the **** he's put up with since joining us. We were lucky with other results yesterday and lost no ground on the play offs. Pressure is now on for the Hull game, well probably need to win that one

    Morning Elland and all

The important thing for me over the next few months where Leeds are concerned is do the new owners have the funds that they seem to be promising. If they do I really could not care about the manager situation. For stability I would say Warnock to stay but if he left it might be a blessing in disguise.

I was over the moon when we appointed Warnock but now I am having second thoughts. The little money he has had does not seem to have been spent wisely. It looks like we are going to get Tonge, throw him into the middle with Austin, Norris, Varney, Green and Brown are they not all of similar quality? A few said give these players a chance, do not judge them before pulling on a Leeds shirt, we will be harder to break down. I have given them a chance and I am not impressed.

We sign Hall and he hardly plays, I can only assume he is injured? Last seasons best player McCormack certainly seems to be out of favour and I truly believe Warnock would have sold him had Snodgrass signed a new contract.

We sign Peltier and play him at LB despite also signing Dury (best LB in the division NW told us) we also make Peltier club captain and we sign Pearce who Warnock claims was the best player at Portsmouth, he was on the bench and Ward and Halford both started for Forest and did better than our defence. Talking of which we concede just as many if not more goals than we did last season.

Finally Warnock is NOT and never will be Premiership quality so if we do go up surely it will need to be a new manager and complete new team, we can't play this hoof ball in the premiership and we are not signing much in the way of young talent who can progress, we have no nucleus of a Premiership team.

Would anyone else be happy to see Warnock leave and we snap up someone like Matteo?

Yes me and the quicker the better, we haven't got rid of Larrys deadwood yet and now Warnock is restocking ready for when he retires. As you say Ristac we have not improved under Warnack at all, in fact i think our average goals conceded per game has increased!! I hope our new owners lose their infatuation with him soon and they start to think long term. I like Warnock but he along with his style of football is the past.

    Oh and morning all

Same worry here thombob we are not looking far enough ahead. I can accept the argument of building a team to get promoted but that team does need a nucleus of players who have the ability to improve in the Premier League. You would hope that two might be Byram and Lees, I was hoping Pearce as well but from what I have seen of him I don't think so. The players we have on loan, the Warnock signings and those so far being linked with us have all had their best days, if we think we have deadwood now I dread to think how much we would be carrying in the premier league, not that we are going to get there with the style of football on show yesterday.

To be honest I can't even get excited about the Somma and McCormack show, it was the last 20 minutes fresh legs against a Forest team that sat back knowing they had done enough. Like I said though, new owners are in place, as long as they have funds to invest that will place us on par with other teams of our size in this division then I will be happy.

On a positive we are in a better position now than 12 months ago simply because Bates is genuinely on his way out.

Wall express are grinding to a holt. They have lost Woods, and Lowry will be going soon. There only saving grace is Billy Paynter is still free... <ok>

Ok so plenty on here are not happy about Warnock's performance so far, which is fair enough. I'm all for seeing what happens for the rest of the Xmas period (Where we've been crap recently) and seeing what he does post January transfer window.

If however we need to find a new manager for the rest of the season, or for next season, we'll be in a que because I can see Bolton, Wolves and Blackburn all looking for a new man, as well as a couple more in the championship. hard to believe how the 3 teams who took the drop last season, are all struggling especially as they all have decent squads and have parachute money as well. All 3 chairman are idiots obviously, but who's out there who we could all get behind. QPR will probably be looking for a new man as well, because Harry won't like it down here with us.

Macarthy and Bruce are well capable but think they'll still be where they are. DiMatteo may not like it down here and could still get the trees job ..... So who else is there and don't mention Curbishley as he's been out of the game too long now, and you wonder why he hasn't had a job for years?

So a few minutes after posting this I'm back in editing it, as Berg has been sacked by Blackburn just now. If we were to get anyone I would plump for Villa sacking Lambert and walking into ER, now that would be great for us and the future

Berg sacked from Blackburn as well now - might be a gamble but Zola has worked wonders with Watford

Brendan Rogers when Liverpool say enough is enough?

A tricky one as sometimes a manager and a team get together and everything clicks for them. I just don't see Leeds Utd and Warnock clicking together, I think we should be preparing for long term and while part of me says let's see what he does in the transfer window another part of me is saying get a new man in and give him the available funds instead.

Please keep Rodgers away. Cant stand his interviews or smug attitude. Totally out of his depth now hes at a club with expectations, would be same pressure at Leeds. Could we wait till Warnock has gotten his first budget in January and judge him for the rest of the season. This Leeds thing of calling for a new manager every time were beaten is not a new phenomenon but certainly does nothing to improve our situation

Ristac, the situation with Watford is slightly different, as the new Italian owners brought him in as well as some Italian coaches and plenty of Italian talent who were and are on the books of top Italian sides. So he should have done the business, but if Malky McKie was still there I think they would be better if he was given what Zola has been given.

I think Liverpool are going to stick with Rodgers as its a long term plan, but if REading decided on getting rid, I'd jump at him coming in, but still think Lambert could be the best option, because of the amount of goals conceded in the last 2 games (12)

Would we accept the moaning ****phile in Jones? I always fancied him as he's never done a bad job anywhere, but after watching him and his rant against our scum fans .... he can fook off.

Blackburn and Trees will pick up a decent man, so not many left, unless we can entice someone like the Norwegian scum player who's doing really well back in Norway, winning back to back titles. Wonder how that would play with some of our fans
