Good Morning y'all Woodgate has looked back at his career with regret.... Regret that he left Leeds utd...... âI thought it would always be like that,â he said. âIt came so easily. I thought Iâd be a Leeds player for life, I never thought Iâd want to leave or have to leave. I suppose it was a little bit naive, but I didnât know any better. It was a young, vibrant team, I was playing with my mates, I thought Iâd make history there.â Alan Tate is loving his time at Leeds... "I think I've done pretty well so far. Even though we got beat on Saturday, I thought I did okay, and it's one of those things where I'm only going to get stronger. "I haven't spoken to anyone about it (beyond the end of the loan). I can't say what's going to happen. "I'm loving it at the minute though. Elland Road is a great place to play. We've had two home games and I'm looking forward to Saturday. Leeds is a great city and it's a great place to live." Having tasted defeat in a Leeds shirt for the first time on Saturday at Derby, it'll be a case of role reversal this weekend when United take on an Ipswich side who have won three in a row. "We were the same on Saturday," added Alan. A week today, we play Chelsea in the Cup, although it would be great to get a result, should be just be concentrating on picking up 3 points each week?
Morning Elland. We must get 3pts on Saturday. Won't be easy. Their new Manager has got them being harder to beat. So let's hope we get a big reaction & back to winning ways
Morning all We got this far in the cup, we got to give it a go! Not to mention its the old enemy, and with a kind draw IF we get past them, Bradford over two legs then Villa please Point taken that the league is the bread and butter though
Morning All, I don't care about the cup, but will not be upset if we continue to progress. Points mean prizes, as Brucie used to say. It's all about money these days, and we have to get into the PL to get our share. Cups bring glory, which is nice, but being able to compete on a level playing field is so much more important for our future. Btw, anyone read this? I know I should dismiss it (especially the factually incorrect bit about the new directors), but these journos really know how to seek out a raw nerve, don't they? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...ance-House-Capital-fail-pay-Charles-Sale.html
Morning!! Woodgate's comments underlines the incredible damage Ridsdale did to our club!! Three points a must....for ALL our remaining home games. If we can do that, promotion will be achievable. The League Cup run has been great in terms of building confidence, and the reward is a glamour home tie against one of the billionaire clubs. For me, a win against Chelsea followed by Bradford in the semis (the battle of the underdogs) will help to boost our profile and finances, especially if we can get to Wembley. It will be great for the International audience to see Leeds on the big stage with their massive, passionate support behind them. A Cup win and European football will also be good for raising our profile as a club to support rather than tagging on to the "fashionable" lot. We need to start growing our support base again, and a Cup win plus promotion will be ideal to kick start our profile.
Morning all Just read the Owen Hargreaves Q&A Comment on the BBC Sport website. Can't believe the guy is unattached. Surely worth a pay-as-you-play offer. And a belated very well done to our little neighbours across West Yorkshire. I'd prefer we met them in the Final. What a great Yorkshire day that would be. Can't honestly seeing us get past Chelsea though. I've been faultless in my inability to predict results, so I'll stick to my prediction we will get walloped (and keep my fingers crossed)
There could be a transfer merry go round involving Leeds in the Summer. Beckford wants to join Leeds Woods would join Huddersfield Leeds would tie up the deal with Jerome Thomas) and Millwall go hungry....
OR Wood signs for us, Beckford stays at Huddersfiled and Leeds get Paynter back for their relegation scrap when GFH go bust
Max Gradel has done little to dampen speculation he could make a shock return to Leeds United in the January transfer window. The Saint-Etienne winger is a popular figure at Elland Road having scored 18 goals for the club in the 2010-11 season before leaving for Ligue 1. Leeds boss Neil Warnock please log in to view this image is thought to be keen on Gradel please log in to view this image and the player himself admits he does expect to return to England at some point. "I have a contract here until June 2015, I have settled well here and I'm enjoying my football," Gradel told Sky Sports. "But I am a lover of English football and its atmosphere. I am 25-years-old and I know my love affair with English football is not finished yet so you never know. "At the moment, my French club is doing well so I am happy here but things happen quickly in football."

Morning all. Wouldn't Woodgate have been a great asset over the past eight seasons. I wouldnt say he played twenty matches. Must admit, the cup didn't interest me a month ago, but with Arsenal going out and Chelsea gone if we beat them, you have to start thinking a little of Wembley. Personally, I dont think we can make the play offs this year so the cup may well be our only chance of success
Surprised Tate's not begging to go back to Swansea if that Philjack bloke's to be believed about it being some sort of idyll compared with Leeds, which Tate's saying is a great place to live.
It's so sad to think about what O'Leary's team could have done without Publicity Pete's ridiculous unnecessary spending, the core of that side could have won trophies. I'm with Bucks, let's take out Chelsea, then Bradford in the semi's, then get revenge on Villa for '95. This Gradel talk is just cruel, I know it won't happen but the longer it carries on the more I allow myself to dream.
