Morning Folks, Who remembers Mark Aizlewood? Not many of you I bet!!! (Though I bet Boggers and Eire do... Actually bet they remember John Charles) In either 86 or 87 he was our Captain, not a great player but ran around a lot. It was getting to the point that he was getting stick every time he touched the ball. Anyway, during a game against Walsall (I think) he scored a goal. Upon scoring he ran up to the Kop and gave them two fingers. Wilko who had just taken charge at Leeds immidiately subbed him, stripped him opf the Captaincy, and he never played for Leeds again. Even worse, he signed for Bradford That being the case, why wasn't Kenny hauled off??? If Warnock made an example of someone who steps out of line, I reckon both discipline and team spirit would improve, thoughts? Would it make a difference if Warnock announced that he was stepping down at the end of the season, or wqould it be better for a new manager to have a bit of time to assess the amount of unwanted baggage? Did Warnock ever have a cats in hell chance of getting us up. If you remember there were a couple of times during pre season that he almost walked away due to lack of funds. If he had been given an 8 million pound kitty, thats a different story, thoughts? Nigel Atkins looks like he is the fans choice to take the ER hot seat, I may get to sell Atkins house in Southampton Here are the lastest odds about next Manager to get sacked in the Championship 6/4 Gus Poyet 2/1 Lee Clark 5/2 Neil Warnock 4/1 Alex McLeish 12/1 Darren Ferguson 14/1 Dave Jones 16/1 Mick McCarthy 20/1 Michael Appleton 20/1 Chris Powell 20/1 Dougie Freedman 25/1 David Flitcroft 25/1 Dean Saunders 25/1 Nigel Clough 33/1 Sean O'Driscoll 50/1 Gianfranco Zola 50/1 Kenny Jacket 50/1 Tony Mowbray 50/1 Malky Mackay 50/1 Nigel Pearson 50/1 Steve Bruce 50/1 Sean Dyche 50/1 Ian Holloway Here's a headline folks... Liverpool have rejected loan bids for youngster Raheem Sterling from Leeds, Cardiff and Bolton, according to the Mirror. The 18-year-old has struggled to get first team action since the turn of the new year, after some weak performances. Last month manager Brendan Rodgers suggested that Sterling’s poor form was down to fatigue. Normally when something like this happens its a smokescreen that something bad is about to happen!!! Is Byram off to Carrow Road???
Morning all - I just wish now that we had lost a couple of those games which we drew recently, the break for Internationals is a perfect time for a new manager to come in, while it is still a possibility (in the eyes of those in charge) Warnock is here to stay. His heart isn't in it, he is already making the noises of someone wanting out, a defeat to Ipswich and surely we see the back of him. Looking at results, if we don't beat Ipswich we will have had one win during March, that is 6 games. Include February and it is 2 wins in two months.
Morning ristac, not only that but the last time to scored a league goal in the first half of a match was on boxing day last year.
Morning Elland you cheeky little skank. I do vaguely remember John Charles as it happens. Big lad, & quite useful as I recall. As to new Managers, can't really see Darren Fergusson coming here somehow. If we were divided over Smith coming back some while ago, I doubt we'd ever accept Fergie's son!! But I agree. Now would be the ideal time to get a new Manager in. Yes, we could still make the playoffs as things stand and with Warnock as Manager. But realistically, there's more chance of me playing for Leeds than us making top 6. Best to get in a new Manager now to take a good look at who he wants to keep & who will be moved on in the Summer. Just re-read your Post. If Poyet got sacked, can we have him please? On Kenny, why did he allegedly give the Kop a two fingered salute?
I remember Mark Aizlewood. Kennys wasnt exactly as noticeable and Warnock would have probably gave him a pat on the back afterwards. Wilko knew the kop would have killed Mark and no one is bigger than the club. Oh to have a Wilko to formulate us a plan out of this league. (to the prem before you Millwall lads latch onto that! ) Unfortunatley we will miss out on Atkins. reading between the lines Warnock has said the club should be patient as the right manager may not be available yet. Is he saying that because he wants a wage until the end of the season or because he wants to 'advise' GFH to go for someone else? Either way Adkins sounds to good to be true. Morning all
Morning all. Warnock should have gone on Sunday, but looks like he is staying to end of season probs because GFH can't afford to pay him off. Adkins doesn't seem realistic, he will want financial guarantees to re-tool the squad. Wherever Adkins goes next he will want guarantees to ensure a great chance of success, he is not going to take an iffy job and damage his reputation. He wants to be managing in the Prem, and his next job will either be there or with a Champs club with a genuine chance of promotion. If Warnock stays to end of season, we will be looking at sacked managers from last few weeks of season. Will that include Gus? Can't see Brighton sacking him in truth, unless they have Warnock lined up to replace him!!!
I have cheered up after reading this >>>>> http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=429641 Guy got some stuff nicked the lads got jailed. one of the lads got out of jail then posted on the site taking the piss how easy it was to steal stuff. then the evo gang found his address haha
All our goals have been scored in the same 25 minute period in the second half this year. After that the team seems to just give up and invite pressure. I'd be interested to see just how many we've conceded in the last 5 minutes + stoppage time.
Hunter flogging his medals http://www.sandersonweatherall.co.u...al-Collection-of-Medals,-Trophies,-Shirts,-e/ Apparently, he doesn't have to sell them, but wants to because of they are tainted - credit where its due
Sadly he needs the money. Why not sell them if there just boxed up somewhere? Not that professionals will ever have that problem these days as I expect they have a whole floor dedicated to there ego's!
Bucks You are right my mate be careful you will be purchasing yourself one if you do much reading of that site haha see a few pics of my car on there though like my signature?
