Awful team selection by our coach tonight and some below par performances but a deserved defeat, Warnock showed what experience can do tonight.
Warnock forced into a couple changes but got everyone right. He has a standard shape, but every now and then does something a bit different when better teams come along. Did the same against Wolves. I think leeds will be there or there abouts come the end of the season though.
In fairness to Leeds they went to 3 at the back and performed much better second half until they ran out of steam towards the end. They gave us a sticky 10 minutes or so either side of their goal. I'm delighted with the win but we let them get a foot back in the game. We really should have gone on to score 4 or 5 with the one man advantage.
We always take our foot of and sit back, if it was the other way Leeds 2-0 up and us a man down they would have slaughtered us. However overall a good result.
City back to their best with the terrific trio of NML, Hoilett & Zahore on fire. City showed the depth of squad is excellent with Damour & Bamba top drawer. Not sure what NW will do v Derby if Gunnersson & Ralls are fit but Bryson (again good) has sit it out. Leeds blown away in first half but fair play they made it difficult after the hour with so much possession for 10 men. I was though disappointed with Leeds who I thought would have shown more up top but they lacked quality in attack. Janssen is quality and perhaps is too good for this league. Too early to predict top 2 and 6 but speaking for Cardiff, they've beaten Wolves & Leeds relatively comfortably. Big game for Leeds on weekend; 2 teams anxious to get back to winning ways and a derby to boot.
