Morning all. My first post on here. Was a member on Jack Army then Planet Swans for years and to be honest have given up with that site. I suppose it has become a victim of its own success. In my opinion too many wind up merchants etc. I started to use the ignore option for a few but in the end would have had to ignore three quarters of the members on there. A shame really as there are some great characters on there. Not bothered about people agreeing or not with my opinions, just don't see the need for personal abuse and hopefully I can add to some level headed discussions on the Swans. Cheers.
How do you derive a username like ymaohyd? Did your cat walk over your keyboard as you were registering, lol.
Yma O Hyd is a famous Welsh folk song. It was my dad's favourite song, he died back in 1983 when I was 18, I listen to it most weeks as it reminds me of him.
Translated it means - we're still here - defiant, confident and powerful. (The song's chorus could easily be applied to the Swans - In spite of everything, we're still here!)
Indeed. Shame the Swans couldn't adopt a slightly more Welsh flavour on match day. Not a Welsh speaker myself but from a big family of Welsh speakers. Swans have plenty of English supporters so wouldn't wish to alienate those from across the border who have been loyal fans over the years.
Diolch all. So how are we going to do tomorrow? My prediction and I very rarely feel positive is a 3-1 win to the Swans. I'm a big fan of Garry Monk and fully supported the boards decision to sack Mr Laudrup and I think Monks will give the board a lot top think about by the end of tomorrow. Not that they need to be convinced of his ability and dedication to the Swans.
Tight game and low scoring imo , Hull are good defensively and will be difficult to break down and Bruce has been around a bit so I can imagine it'll be an edgy game and 1 goal in it for either side (preferable us )
Welcome ymaohyd good to have you on board, hope you enjoy this forum, look forward to your input!.................
