[h=3]Leeds United[edit][/h] Current stadium status: Reconstructed. At one point, while flying high in Europe, Leeds were examining a potential move to a new 67,000-seat stadium in nearby Stourton, while there were also plans to redevelop Elland Road as a 60,000-seat "Wembley of the North".[SUP][76][/SUP][SUP][77][/SUP] Following the club's collapse into administration and dropping down two divisions, the sum of Leeds stadium ambitions at the present is simply to regain ownership of Elland Road, which had to be sold to offset debts.[SUP][78][/SUP] The current stadium has been all-seater since 1994, when the Kop (now the Don Revie Stand) was refurbished. The most significant recent development took place in 1992/1993, when the 17,000 seat East Stand was built, on the old Lowfields Road end, pushing capacity a little under 40,000. There are now plans to redevelop the land around Elland Road with a shopping arcade, new club megastore, two hotels, a casino. There are also plans to increase the seating capacity to 50,000-65,000 by rebuilding the West (John Charles) Stand and making it identical to the current East Stand should Leeds United return to the Premier League within the near future.
I agree we need to look at a goalkeeper but I think that is a hard purchase in January. Maybe if we miraculously get up we can try sign McCarthy
Jonny Howson just signed a new 4.5 year deal extension at Norwich. I suppose we should say well done mate for keeping the family safe from creditors.
There must be goalkeepers available though, I'm sure there are plenty in the lower leagues or Premier League keepers who aren't getting games. Simon Moore on loan from Cardiff? Not like he's getting games at the moment... Also think we need another RWB, if only as back up to Byram. Peltier isn't a bad defender but for our formation the RWB needs to be a threat going forward and have a good delivery.
I disagree MTMB. Good luck to the lad for wanting to better himself and congrats in achieving progress in his career. Not his fault that we weren't able to get to the PL quickly enough.
The fooking really sad thing about this is that according to Grayson, Jonny was in tears and didn't want to go but Bates wanted the cash. Howson and Snodgrass in our present squad would almost guarantee promotion. Bates you twat sold everything and anything that had a value and left us with bare bones and another few years of building
Okay fellas, take our existing best starting XI in a 352 formation, how would you fit in Snoddy, Howson, & Beckford?
Why does it have to be 3-5-2? Snodds would slip in anywhere on the right and Howson would replace Murphy or Rodolph, as he can either protect the back or get into danger areas behind the front 2. Not sure I want Beckford back but if so he's a straight swap for smudger and that would be worth a look with Ross and JB hunting together.

--------------Kenny--------------- Byram----Lees----Pearce-----Warnock Snodds---Howson---Murphy---Gradel -----McCormack +1 Not sure I'd have Beckford. He has not been firing in the same way he did when he was with us
I can't wait to read ristacs response. But want to reply before reading the rest of the thread. Please no resigning players, especially expensive ones who have had severe injury problems.
Beckford could carry the kit and cut the oranges. Howson could break in Rudy's boots, and snoddy could if sober take Murphy's place in the team.
