For a team that are supposed to be in dire straights, they certainly don't have a bad team, even with 4 big names out, they still had the likes of Marlon King, Curtis Davis, Steve Caldwell and Leroy Lita who they have on loan from Swansea. How many of the Birmingham team would make it into the starting XI, excluding the likes of Zidic, Carr etc who couldn't play? A joint statement between GFH and Leeds Utd have confirmed that the money is in the bank ready for the takeover to take place. What worries me nowq is GFH's financial position. They are nowhere near as rich as what we thought!!! Aaron Cowley better be on his toes, looking at the article below please log in to view this image
Morning all, looks as though the sun are trying to be clever by scaring the living bezeeeezas out of the poor little lad...... & then again, maybe he WILL get his just desserts afterall!!! Start of the season 1-0 even at home to Brum wouldn't have seemed too bad. But given who we've supposedly brought in to push us up towards promotion & who Brum had missing on Saturday, we're still someway short of a serious promotion push. I'm hoping Poleon returns sooner rather than later from his loan spell. I'm also hoping that Hall starts against the Saints. Its only a cup game, but a win would do wonders for the confience in what will be a hard match on Friday.
Elland Birmingham where **** a promotion chasing side should have won all 3 of the last games but the fact of the matter is we are not good enough
Im seriously wondering why we didnt keep Lloyd sam tbh!! another great bit of work by Paul Dews on the website calling our manager Warncok http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20121027/united-hit-by-the-blues_2247585_2961764
Fair spot YWBK. Where's Rodgers now by the way, treatment table, loaned out, or moved on? We need width & more of an attacking option. People can moan all they want about Becchio. But if he doesn't get the service, what can he do? Something has to change very quickly, or this season & Warnock's reputation for getting teams promoted could seriously nosedive.
Just think, a few weeks ago you were 11 points ahead of lil ol Millwall - now just 3. We'll be 11 points ahead by Xmas <cheers? How the **** did you not score past Birmingham?
Whatever you call it Elland, let's hope the big hard boy gets what he deserves from some real hard lads, not some tart who enjoys spoiling everyone's fun by taking cheap shots at defenceless players.
Saturday was so poor, even when we went 1-0 down there was no urgency. Before that there was no zip about the players, no-one running into space, crossing from Lees in particular was awful, (though why he was at RB and Peltier CB is anyone's guess). But the worse thing about the game was Warnock's meek acceptance of the defeat. He was even quite pleased with the performance. Disgraceful, no wonder the crowd can't get enthusiastic anymore.
Unfocused. Distracted. These words describe the players perfectly. No zip, poor passing, poor delivery, poor crossing, poor positioning. All signs of a team that's not focused.
