Good Morning Everyone,

With Peltier and Kenny joining Somma, McCormack, Green and Norris on the treatment table, we are likely to field a weakened team against Premier side Everton tonight. Does anyone actually care about this cup competition?

The YEP report on the senior management from GFH Capital Limited, the Dubai-based firm involved in the planned takeover. David Haigh, deputy chief executive of GFH Capital Limited, and Salem Patel, a board member at the private equity company were joined by Hisham Alrayes, another prominent employee of GFH Capital Ltd who also works as acting chief executive officer for Gulf Finance House, an investment bank situated in Bahrain.

GFH Capital Ltd is a subsidiary of Gulf Finance House. Writing on Twitter, Alrayes said: “Well done Leeds...I really enjoyed the match.” Haigh also tweeted at the end of United’s win over Forest, saying: “Great City, The Best Club, Great Match.”

An offer to acquire a controlling interest in United, submitted by investors from the Gulf region, has been on the table for almost four months without reaching completion.

Morning - I honestly don't believe we have a chance of promotion, mid table is where I see us finishing so yes I would like a nice little cup run to cheer us up. On the other hand with such a paper thin squad a couple of injuries now possibly meaning defeats in the league to teams we expect to beat and we could end up in a relegation dog fight so I agree and understand why we shall be giving a run out to a few others who would not normally feature.

I still think with possible investment in January, we can reach the play offs. Pugh's quiet, he's not even making the bench!!!

Morning all, not bothered about tonight as the league is more important.

paper thin squad means Warnock is struggling due to injuries, but he told bates that would happen. At least Bates has said he was sorry to not have the deal done before the window closed, but january would be on the cards. Too late you old twat.

The league table is shaping up now and we can see the teams that have invested, which includes Hudds and Brighton. More to come from udders especially if they get Beckford, so I bet Grayson is laughing his cock off at us. Blackburn, Leicester, Blackpool, Cardiff, Hull, Middlesboro, Wolves and now even Bolton are coming strong. Tough season ahead for us I'm afraid - especially with all that parachute cash we're trying to compete with.

Anybody still saying CM Smith is garbage <ok>

Cup run would stretch us in terms of players to field, BUT the dosh would come in handy, as Capt Birdseye cannot get his sticky fingers on all of it, IF the TO is going through.

There is a rumour going around here that a Qatar based group are talking to and that there is a possible buy out of.....wait for it.......Barnsley, wtf i hope its a rumour only, heard anything in "Ol Blighty"????

    Morning by the way guys!

Good point doc on Mchail Smith, top scorer... I still think it will be a lottery who gets in the play offs and we have as good a chance as half those teams you mentioned.

    morning all <ok>

    It's on sky sports mate.

As for whether I care about tonight, I would totally support playing a weakened squad and focusing on achieving a decent position in the league without risking more injuries.

For me, it'll be a good opportunity to get a look at some of the players we don't normally see. I'd like to see Payne, Gimpel and maybe Lenighan get a run out

Mornin all. Of course will watch game tonight but admit with limited interest. Next week will define what chances we have of promotion contention. Warnock stated over weekend he was looking for three signings, the quality would depend on the takeover, to be completed in a week to ten days. Therefore, I'm attempting no predictions until we see what we have by the time of next international break. One thing is for sure though, if were within touching distance in January, and Warnock has proper funds, well give promotion one hell of a run. Could be an exciting second half to season. Now, wheres me gallium, I need to relax after that outburst

Don't care about tonight. Only thing that matters is T/O. If we can stay more or less in touch, some investment in Jan and we could still make playoffs

We don’t have a snowball chance in hell to get promoted, unless something extreme happens at ER<ok>
And I bet Grayson is laughing his ass of looking at the table at the moment……

Oh I forgot to say morning to everyone :)

I quite rate Becchio. He falls over far too easily, but Im surprised other clubs were not in for him during the Summer

Were we ever really in with a chance of getting him, Norwich had a £3m bid turned down, our only hope would have been swap plus cash for McCormack

Afternoon all. Becchio is very good at this level, he just needs to be stronger and hassle defenders like he used to. May be that since his injury he doesn't fancy the hard work as much. Defenders used to complain how tough he was and how they hated how he wasn't shy to use his strength and get stuck in. We need Becchio to start holding the ball up better to allow us to push up and get midfielders running onto the ball. That is what Ricardo Fuller did so well at Stoke.
