Good Morning Everyone, The bank holiday is over and we are all back to work, apart from Bucks, who does very little work anyway Somma and Kissa are both responding to treatment and should be back in the fold come pre season. Still do not think Kissa is up to the job, but time will tell... Schmeichel could be set for a big money move to Germany. Did we get rid of him too soon? Do you think we had a sell on clause? Becchip and McCormack currently lead our forward line. Next season Somma will be back, and who knows, we may have Beckford??? Who would you have starting?
Cheeky git! I am actually at home today though, my son broke his arm on Saturday so I have been up Winchester hospital all bank holiday Blackburn down. Shame for kean. I would have liked to see him turn it around after the way he has been treated, but on the other hand I am glad they went down because there owners are idiots. Morning all
Glad Blackburn are down as my lass is from blackburn so can now rip the piss out of her old man and bro when we stuff them next season.. Morning
Morning Elland, morning Bucks. Your son broke his arm? That'll teach him to burn your sausages!!! Jokes aside, hope he gets well soon. Blackburn I'm happy to see back where they belong. That said, I do feel sorry for Kean. Seems to have been treated shabbily. Can't think who in Germany that matters would want Schmeichel. That said, let's hope if he does make a big money move, we have a sell on clause in his contract. I doubt it given that we were in no rush to try & keep him. Next season's forward line is looking good, but it will depend on how Somma reacts after his long lay off. Same with Kisnorbo. Maybe he'll act as cover for Lees/Pearce.
Morning All, As I've expressed elsewhere, I'm delighted to see Blackburn go down. The Venky's must be crapping themselves. Only a parachute £14m to look forward to next season, instead of the usual £40m+ telly money. And lots of very highly paid players to appease. I'm hoping for a fire sale, and would love us to snap up Robinson &/or the Yak. In fact, I think it would be worth paying the Yak twice as much as Snoddy. (Hope that's not too controversial for you!). Suspect it's not going to happen, but he'd be a sensation in the Championship. I shall get started on my note to Santa right now ....
Morning all, i dont feel sorry for anyone that is relegated, nobody felt for us. Just been given a warning for sending junk mail to personnel within our group, i only sent it to 4 people, them being Man.U fans it read " all sharp objects has to be kept out of your reach whilst you are on suicide watch" ****ers reported me, so game on now with the **** for brains Salford yank bastards, well to be honest i did cc ALL USERS hahaha
Morning all and I was going to ask the same question why has it been reduced to £14 million? We have been linked with Ben Watson of Wigan the more I look at him the more I feel he would be out of our price range although he has only played 12 games for Wigan so you never know. I wondered if there would be any movement there now that Wigans future is secure? As for Beckford, I feel it is a position that we need strengthening in but one that we are not desperate for so any remaining budget I can't see it being blown there. To expect Leicester to accept 1 million for him and to expect him to drop his wage by 50% is not realistic and if it was I can't see the club spending that much if I am honest.
Don't know where I got £14m from. Looked it up. It's actually £16m for each of the first 2 years, then £8m for each of the next 2 years - £48m in total.
You can't help but feel that Football is about to change big time, I wouldn't wish to see any team go out of business but you look around at the Man City, Leicester, Chelsea and others spending far beyond their means due to foreign investment and they could all quite easily go the same way as Rangers.
