Morning All,

I think the word is '**** hitting the fan'.... 'The game's gone crazy' webblog have gone with a headline 'Warnock on the point of leaving' whilst The Scratching Shed have gone with 'A vote of no confidence', this does not look good at all.....

As reported last night Warnock has come out and said "I am off on holiday this week and I will be disappointed if we have not brought anybody in this week but as we talk at the moment it doesn`t look likely".

"I want one shot at that eighth promotion and I am hoping I will get sufficient support to warrant that, and only time will tell".

"You have got to try and get the signings you can as quickly as you can. We have spoken to a number of players and I am hoping to get one or two signed sooner rather than later and only time will tell if we can do it".

Warnock says he understands why Snodgrass won't sign a new contract (yet)

Warnock says he can understand the point of view of Robert Snodgrass and why he is waiting to see what happens in the transfer market before committing his future to Leeds.

Does Warnock need this kind of grief during this final seasons as a Manager?

If we are to make any signings they would have to be today, as Warnock is off on his hols tomorrow, is it too late???

    Morning elland <ok>

Even as an optimist I have to say it's not looking at all good! What happened to Ward making up his mind yesterday, or have I missed something?

Cant see why transfers can't be finalized while he's on holidays anyway. Im sure he has spoken all he can to the relevant players and agents. Up to Harvey and Bates to dot the i's and cross the t's. With the technology available, its not as if Warnock will not be contactable for the two weeks. If Snoddy isn't signing, I wish he would go now and at least give Warnock time to use whatever part of the transfer he is given

This is not sounding good. There's still a few weeks to go before the transfer window even opens. But his comments I am hoping I will get sufficient support do not bode well. Watching this space

Morning Kiwi, I look on the bright side side of life too, hey that may not be a bad shout for song of the day.... Unless anyone can think of something more appropriate????

Suppose Ward wants to make sure he is making the right decision. Just hope he does not go to ipswich

Understood, he does not have to be around to sign a player, it just seems less likely. My heart sank when I read I am off on holiday this week and I will be disappointed if we have not brought anybody in this week but as we talk at the moment it doesn`t look likely".

In order of your posts, not enough & maybe he's gone already.... or he's made it known that he's staying come what may. Eitherway, the uncertainty is not good for the fans even by Leeds' standards.

I don't think Warnock will walk simply because he's so stubborn. That said if Bates doesn't pull his finger out he might have to leave...

Fair point Kiwi. I just wonder if the problem on this occasion really is Bates & Harvey, or if its actually players like Ward taking their time & reviewing their options. One thing's for sure, if Bates/Harvey are dragging their heels, my money is firmly on Warnock to either explain to them in words of one syllable what he wants & when or simply walks & leaves them to stew in their own juices.

Sorry Tommy, can't see your song for Colin. What is it? Not Peter, Paul, & Mary by any chance - leaving on a jet plane!!!

    Morning Elland, morning all.

If Warnock is indeed leaving, perhaps he'll leave with one finger in the air and this tune playing loudly? .....

If Warnock leaves and Bates replaces him with Redfearn, I think that really would be the last straw - even the fans who are convinced Bates is doing us good will have to sit up and realise how much of a tosser he really is <ok>

Hes also a proud man. He took the job on with a hope of retiring with the most promotions. Now his hands are tied behind his back & we could be in for a relagation scrap, does he want that on his CV? Does he need all the hassle that goes with working with Ken Bates at this stage of his career?

I'm not sure myself but he wont be happy being shafted like he has & I wont be shocked if he walks.

    MORNING ALL :) <ok>

I don't mean to constantly be the optimist but I actually think there is too much thought going into those comments

Either that or he was well aware of the situation, it's just a lot more difficult than he first envisaged. Who knows, only time will tell on this one I guess <ok>
