Given the stupid kick off time next Sunday what can you recomend to do in your fair city on a Sunday? Any decent pubs? Eateries? What is parking like near the Kingpower? Well done on beating the smoggies BTW.
Parking is pretty much a nightmare around the King Power. You best off parking away from the stadium and walking Pubs there is the local hero or the counting house or even the hoilday inn. All very close the stadium. Food there is Morrisons or the pubs or else you going to have to go further away from the area.
Is the holiday inn serving on a matchday? last time i went, there was a sign saying 'no football fans' which i found a bit odd. I always end up parking at the hospital and then do the 5 minute walk.
I´m quite happy about the K.O time tbh as I´m going fishing all weekend & I won´t be back til 15.00 on Sunday.
Park in Granby Halls, the local Cricket ground (not Grace Rd, it's next door to the ground) or in one of the many 'Matchday special' car parks that you'll find on your travels around the stadium. Bring your sunglasses though, the away end faces the sun and you'll probably regret not bringing them if you forget.
Princess Avenue is less than a mile from the KC, it has over a dozen bars and restaurants, you can park there and everywhere welcomes away fans. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image And that's just one street, there's also a chippy down there, so first time visitors can find out what fish and chips should taste like. You've got Italian, Indian and Turkish restaurants on Narborough Road, which is the way we come into Leicester and many park, send them there.
Thanks guys. I think I will give Morrisons a miss and check out this Narborough Road. But for obvious reasons I wont be eating Turkish. We will walk in from somewhere free (no yorkshireman would pay). Hope its a good game and the best side wins. The week after we can start watchinng the cod heads from Ull getting spanked every week on match of the day. lol Lambretta man dont supose you know the blokes from BadnessAKA (them beinng local to you and all)? Top guys, great tribute act.
Narborough Road is just full of ****ty takeaway shops. No decent food, depends on which way you get to the ground its a decent walk from the stadium
I don't know any of the lads in BadnessAKA, though obviously I know of them, they've just won tribute act of the year. And ignore Proud, you'll be fine down Narborough Road, you'll just feel like your in Bradford.
Maybe Leeds and Lesster should merge so instead of been 2 lower half teams you could be 1 mid table team? Just a thought like!
No - because Leeds and Leicester are teams based in two different cities hence their respective names. Must confuse you greatly given your repeat incorrect spelling of Leicester but one day you will be able to spell properly - if Charlie was able you will too so keep trying you special little boy!
Leeds and us have spent 19 seasons in the PL since its inauguration in 92 compared to your pathetic 3.
