Sorry about another Morro thread, but is this true?

Not sure how to feel about this. I'm a strong supporter of Morro- he's just out of form, it happens, look at Demba Ba. But this is not great, he doesn't deserve the abuse but really should be better than to swear back

I don't get booing or abuse. It doesn't help players at all. How about getting behind the players and encouraging them instead?

On Ba, I think his recent drop in goals is more down to the fact that he's playing on left side of a front three rather than a lack of goals.

it has to be said, we do have a minority of fans at norwich city who are complete muppets. i realise every club has them but booing your own player? come off it - get a grip people or stop following the club!

But at least he's on the pitch! Poor old Morro doesn't get much more than a ten min run out...

I didn't mean to make a serious comparison, just that strikers often score in waves

    Ah, sorry.

I do feel sorry for Morison, people have very short memories. Remember his goals against Blackburn and Newcastle? You're not a bad playter if you can score those!

I like Morison, no idea why people are booing him....!? Lambert should really say something if they are, no way people can't listen to him. However, he's most effective when we have wide players who can deliver him the crosses.

Not Morison's biggest fan, but I would never boo anyone who plays for us especially in one of are most successful and exciting stints.

I like him, a lot in fact, when he was in form he was a force to be reckoned with, however he doesn't help himself with his general attitude, not on the pitch there he works for the team regardless of if he scores or not, but he is a miserable bugger. I know some people who know him a bit, apparently he is quite humorless.
I also agree that the way a minority of our fans treat him is apauling and if he did swear at one of them then frankly I'm impressed he's lasted this long, I'd have snapped far earlier. We need to get behind him, this season we have achieved our goal and everyone gets a new start next season.

I agree with all of you - booing our own players is moronic, and especially a guy who played a big part in getting us to where we are now - survival. And yes, it's not just Norwich. Have fans gone the way they have because players nowadays are on such huge wages and their lives seem to bear no relation to the average fan? Is it part of a bigger move towards a society of instant gratification and consumption where we are constantly told by advertising that we (the consumer) are important and intelligent and interesting and our tiniest wish will be satisfied? The relationship between supporter and club has certainly changed and the most important factor must be simply money.

I know there are muppets about but who on earth would drive all the way to Blackburn to abuse one of your own team?

Might be old but donot see why you would boo anyone on your team, of course there are players we all take dislike to but Morro has done great for his first year in the Prem and all those who have had a go at him are grade 1 Canary Callers.

excellent post. agree with you entirely. not to mention supporters ambitions have shot through the roof, unrealistically in my opinion. football has changed and clubs such as ourselves cannot compete with the big guns anymore. we have to make the club as good as it can be but that might mean being a mid table team for a number of years, raking in as much cash as we can. there are at least ten bigger clubs in the country than us, probably more - nothing wrong with that, its just the way it is, but if we want to keep our best players and our best ever manager, some moronic fans need to think about what they've actually achieved for the club and that we'd be a lot worse off without them <ok>

It's not saying much, but Morrison was one of our best players yesterday! Any prick who boos after the season we've had should be banned for watching us from life and replaced with real fans IMO. Fair enough if we play really poor for a season, but what we've had means fans have no right to boo whatsoever!

While I would never condone booing our own players, I wish some of you lot would wake up and smell the coffee. Morison was an early season flash in the pan and I think we should get rid in the summer, he's no good. Same goes for Wilbrahimo****, get rid. If we want to progress as a club we need to set our sights a bit higher, we're a big club and now we're back in the big time we should act like one. <ok>

Its now got to the stage where "fans" are moaning and whining even before he's got on the pitch. At the game on saturday there were a few people around me who acted like Lambert had lost the plot by bringing him on! Why are some supporters not 'supporting' the whole team? Does this guy who reportedly swore at him really think its going to help?

There is no excuse for booing one of our team in a season that has surpassed all expectations. I know the contribution Morro has made to that success, but perhaps he needs to think about why it is that a stupid minority do so. He puts his shift in, but somehow manages to look disinterested at times. That's an area he needs to work on.

No point replacing the strikers until we sort out the midfield and defence so we don't have games like Lesta, Blackburn etc! I have never felt let down by our strikers all season tbh.

Let me get this right, so you think Morison and Wilbraham are good enough for this league, yes ? Sorry, but you're the daft one if you think that. There's something wrong with Morison's head if you ask me, he just seems so disinterested. As for Wilbraham, he might be a nice bloke and 'tryer' but he's nowhere near good enough to play Premier League football. Yes, it is a good job I'm not City's manager, I would never profess to be able to do the job, I'm just passionate about my club and want them to do well. Furthermore, I truly believe there are Strikers out there well within our budget who would do a much better job for us. <ok>
