It looks like we will be starting next years campaign without our beloved Morison. I know there's mixed feelings amongst supporters, myself included, after all we gave him his second chance and without the lions may have never tasted international football, play-off success or championship prowess. However, as long as we get a reasonable fee (£3M IMO) then i would like to thank him for his services and move on without having next years campaign a hangover without him.
In terms of transfers i think to have a successful campaign we need 4 new players, still need a replacement for Theo, would love to see Andros back, another creative midfielder and a defender. if we want to challenge for promo 6 would be ideal is this realistic? i've heard we should be getting Ched Evans are there any other rumours as yet (we know its that time of year).
I just hope this year doesn't turn into a collapse as what happened with the exodus of Cahill etc.
Anyway this is my first post on not 606 finally making my way from the beeb...
hope to hear from my fellow Lions and heres to another fantastic season under KJ...

  2. Lambert respects Jackett so if he says no after an improved bid then I'm sure he'll accept it and move on. Just hope Morison can stay professional and take you to the Prem next season as Millwall were one of the toughest teams for us to play this season and the one prior.

I have alot of respect for Jackett and what he has achieved.

Do you think he is worth £3m and do you think he could cut it in the premier league? Personally, I have my doubts....There's no gurantee he'd even start for us with Jackson and Vaughan both battling for the one spot (Grant Holt is the first name on the team sheet).

Perhaps we could give you Cody McDonald as part of the deal........

I'm a big fan of Morison, as most 'wall are, I think he would do a job in the prem I'd take his age as a positive he's calmer than many in front of goal, has hunger and works tirelessly. add to it the fact he's no lightweight and he will cause defenders problems. i think £3M out of the money you receieve for promo is peanuts for a striker that has the potential to keep you up in the prem.

Kenny wanted Jackson so unless he's on the cards for part cash I'd imagine not? Maybe Hoolahan instead? either way Norwich aren't the only team interested in Moro so unless something in that region is tabled kenny will hold out. also stevenage managed to get a sell-on clause so all the fee wouldn't be ours.

    good luck next season

The money would come in handy, at the mo we wouldn't last 5 mins in the Premier. If the price is right we could get 2 or 3 good players for that, strengthen the side for a push in 1 or 2 more seasons.

****, sorry.......welcome grant (where are my manners, we may eat babies but we're not savages) <whistle>

    Welcome Grant :)

I'd love Moro to stay but it's hardly likely now, I thank Stevie for he's services and basically getting us upto the Championship last season 09/10. It wil be hard to replace him but Ched Evans isn't the answer IMO. What I have seen of him he's not too great.

I just hope if Norwich want Stevie that bad they offer the £3M pricetag, Also CMS (Craig Mackail-Smith) looks set to leave Posh so who will he go too? I heard a WALL fan say that he's in a deal with Norwich which is 99.9% complete :(

Ched Evans is one of the Man City players KJ used to coach so maybe this is yet another player he can bring the best out of. Mind you Grimes and Laird were ex Man City as well and they didn't exactly set the Den alight!

Exactly my point with Evans, Apart from CMS I can't think of a striker who will be as good as Moro :/

Morning all and welcome Grant. <ok>

Likewise I can see Moro's point of view in putting his family and own personal career first so fair play as we knew it was going to happen sometime and not forgetting that we were saying not long after beating the Swindlers that he will stay for now because he owes Kenny at least a season for giving him his chance. I would like him to stay as well but if his heart's not in it and if we can replace him with at least the same quality type of player or better then what's the point as the blow would be softened, I'm sure Kenny has prepared for this moment and factored it into his future transfer plans and that being the case I would like to personally thank him for all that he has done for us. <applause>

As for transfer targets I see in the SLP that any possible deal with Nathan Tyson looked torpedoed as negotiations are deadlocked over Tyson's financial demands, which include considerable performance-related bonuses in addition to his weekly wage so if its that's dead in the water then **** the greedy **** as he was no doubt on better wages at Forest and wants the same with us which he wont get off us. Any CMS deal looks a dead duck as well now if the Norwich rumour is true but do they want Moro as well as him so who knows as we'd have at least £2.5M or so after paying Stevenage their sell on cut. <ok>
