Morgan the Moon the magnificent man of the Match turned in a midfield maestro masterclass at St Mary’s today. Nigel had better get his contract extended pdq as as we shall need him to replace Pass Back Hammond as our holding midfield player next season.
He was simply outstanding today, our best player by a country mile. Key part of the team for next year if he plays like that
In my opinion he is THE most underrated player in the football league. we need to find a box to box proven goal-scoring partner for him.
It was great to see him back, as it was Chamberlain. With those two and Lallana, then if we could add someone like Jonny Howson who scores goals but still really dominates and controls the midfield, then we would easily have one of the best midfields in the division next season.
Some of those Spider passes were quite sublime, what is he going to be like when firing on all cylinders?
He is SOOOOOOOoooOOooO goood! He was here there and everywhere, and even got a decent shot on target! A class above. Give him a contract renewal please, he's only 20/21!
He got the official Man of the Match vote, so I guess we thought that he had performed quite well, and NA did the honourable thing subbing him so that he could let the crowd show their appreciation, good stuff.
It's not until you see Morgan back in controll of that midfield that you appreciate quite how good he is He was simply brilliant vs Man Utd and suspect as we go up the leagues he will stand out more and more as he gets more time on the ball - he is definetely one to keep at all costs Just sobered up!
