Hull and QPR face transfer battle over Morgan Amalfitano after his Marseille deal expires

    Jul 09, 2014 22:29 By John Cross

French midfielder who caught the eye on loan at West Bromwwich Albion last season is being eyed for a permanent return to the Premier League.

Hull and Queens Park Rangers are both tracking Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano.

Amalfitano is out of contract, and while the French club want to agree a new deal the Europa League-bound Tigers and newly-promoted Hoops are also ready to offer him contracts.

The 29-year-old spent last season in England, on loan at West Brom.

He started 26 of the Baggies' 38 league games and scored four goals - including their opener in a shock 2-1 away win over champions Manchester United and this Goal of the Season contender against Cardiff:

Who in their right mind would choose to go to (and live in) Hull?

Tom Ince, Jake Livermore, Shane Long, Tom Huddlestone? Beats me as well mate, never rated Bruce as a manager but he's done okay up there. Bet their contracts are pretty lucrative, but they're not big spending like us eh?!:steam:
