www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-agree-five-year-deal-alberto-3651268 Hopefully true. Yes it deserves own thread
Yeah the deal should be completed next week when Moreno flies in. Good to see us signing good squad players in Moreno, Can and Lambert. I expect the REAL business to occur a lot later on.
He'll provide direct competition for Enrique (whenever he's not crooked) and to be honest if it's true Enrique is now pobably 2nd fiddle. But more importantly it frees up Flanno to play on the right, hopefully knocking Johnson off the throne this coming season. I must admit I haven't seen a lot of him as I don't watch a lot of Spanish football, but what I have seen and what I've heard have all been positive. A young fast, skilful LB that loves to attack and has great vision - suits us right to the ground going by that.
I hope this is true. I can't wait to see this kid in the PL.
Obviously the best of, so hard to make a judgment - but he looks like he has a bit of trickery up his sleeve too (bit risky doing that **** in your own half though imo, but going by this he's also a LM/LW) So potentailly a player that could play anywhere up the left - very handy to have, as there are not too many decent one's about. He's a bit like a Spanish Luke Shaw, but with a little more confidence maybe??
Exactly CCC - that's where my head is right now (still up my arse) had my first long sleep for 4 years as I'm off work today so just got up. I must of been dreaming of DirtyFrank P.S. By the looks of it this kid can score a goal too. We could have finally replaced Riise if this goes through.
Sweet signing if it happens, but View attachment 31787 with Jimmy... we need to start signing the big guns soon, Can, Moreno and Lambert are good additions to the squad and bench but not top top quality.
We all do that we're only human after all Looks a tidy player but is he going to improve us defensively at all or are we going to try being even more attacking than last season?
So far it's looking that way - I think by the end of the window we'll be playing midfielders in defence, number 9.5's and 10's in midfield and strikers up front #200plusgoals #gd0
'Real business'? This would take your spending over £30m. What are you expecting ffs? Does an £18 full back not count as 'real business'?
He will be a starter - he's better than what we have, he's not just a 'good squad' player, he's first 11 material. Surely that's why so many other clubs have been chasing him. Ok it might take him a little time to settle, but he is surely being bought to be our future LB. If not we're mental.
I've had two massive mugs (pints, practically!) of coffee. I'm going to be pissing like a horse for the next few hours. He looks a boss little player: skilful, fast and smart. A pure BR player. I'm not sure he'll rival Riise's goals, though, as they were piledrivers! I'm not so sure about that. We were f*cked last season, according to most of us, as we hadn't really strengthened the squad / team when we could. However, we went from 7th to 2nd and probably should have gone one better. If the reports are to be believed, we've sorted our left side issues out, got a very good, experienced and well-motivated striker for peanuts and have signed one of the 'future of German football'. If we get a defender (RB/CB) and a midfield player (hopefully Lallana) I'll be made up with this transfer window. We've got so many talented young players coming through, as well, that any more signings would only hamper their progression IMO.
Fair point but he's young, just mean that I hope we're in for some 'still young but older' and more proven players at some point if you catch me drift.
And how many times last season did we say "we're just a mental team"? In fairness at this price he has to be good enough to be a starter yeah. I do think Enricky is made to play in our system but going out and signing a big money left back leads me to think that there are still massive concerns about his long term fitness which is a damn shame really.
