Back from another week of more beer in my keepnet than fish! My son phoned me both during and after the match against Stoke to keep me informed. His overall opinion was he couldn't believe how bad Stoke were in nearly every position. He was absolutely chuffed with the win, but it still didn't turn him into a happy clapper. Having watched the highlights, I have to agree with him Stoke were dire. If the team that turned up at ManU yesterday played us we would have had a completely different result. (Mind how the **** Woodgate wasn't sent off for the tackle on Hernanadez is beyond me!) Football eh? Had a quick browse and see very little changed here, still lots of sniping at anyone not towing the Bruce line. Odd how a small minority of people who think that we should back Bruce no matter what, feel the need to attack fellow Mackems and deride their opinions. Am I pleased we beat Stoke? Most certainly. Do I want SAFC to keep winning? Definitely! Do I think Bruce is the manager to take SAFC forward? Definitely not! And the only person who can change my mind on that, is a certain Mr Bruce. Not a bunch of happy clappers. Lots of posts mentioning negativity totally missing the point that most times the negativity is warranted. Talk of wishing BBC606 was back and being sadly missed. I was just thinking why? Lots of freedom here, no deleted threads without being given a reason. Then I thought back to the BBC and posts and threads I had deleted, none of them inflammatory or racist. But quite a lot that didn't tow the party, happy clapper line. Fellow Mackems getting fellow posters views removed because they didn't agree with them? Surely not! Paranoia, it's the way forward. What's that groaning I hear in the background? "Oh **** he's back again!"
Just noticed Cest had a thread deleted. I posted the BBC606 comment before I noticed that. But I still stand by my opinion, the reason for deletion has been given and I assume if Cest wanted it reinstating it would be done, with any provocative posts removed.
