http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...rpen-up-Queens-Park-Rangers-strike-force.html Get a result at Newcastle and the press will go into overdrive again. £10m Jan budget??
In addition to this bollocks The Times also has us in for Danny Rose, loan with Sunderland up in January.
What the Telegraph reports is replicated in other papers. Cole and Anelka on loan seems feasible. £10m budget seems high but if the owners feel that the squad are now in safe managerial hands, they may push the boat out to secure Prem survival.
I think that it all depends on who goes through the exit and how much we get for them. We don't want to have a situation where the likes of Cisse is allowed to sit on the bench thumbing through his ISME catalogue on God knows how much a week.
We've pushed the boat out in the last 3 windows. Lets run with what we have, with striker back up. No point 'strengthening' if what we get isn't stronger. Will Zamora and Johnson make the 25 at the end of the window?
Les and Clive!! Yes Please. """"""""""""" MAIL/Sami Mokbel - Redknapp to meet QPR owner Fernandes over January transfer targets Anelka and Cole Harry Redknapp will meet Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes this week to discuss the club's transfer window plans. Redknapp will have £10million to spend in January but is expected to rely largely on loan deals. Liverpool's Joe Cole and former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka are targets. Cole has struggled to force his way back into the Liverpool team since he returned from a season-long loan at French side Lille. The 31-year-old made 32 appearances for the Ligue 1 club and scored four goals. Should Cole choose to link up with Redknapp it would not be for the first time. The former England international played under Redknapp during his time at West Ham. The midfielder scored his first goal of the season against the Hammers last week, but doesn't appear to be in Brendan Rodgers' plans. Meanwhile, QPR are preparing an official approach for Tottenham coach Les Ferdinand. They are also keen on adding Clive Allen to their set-up. Mail """"""""""
Like it or not, Les is and always has been a Spurs fan. If AVB likes him, would be surprised if he left. Is Clive working at the moment? Punditry aside. He also seems solidly Spurs to me.
I'd be surprised if Zamora doesn't make it. AJ will surely be a closer call. Back in mid March or later, and not match fit...
Yep. Last decent performance was in about 2008 and he has been living off his rep ever since. It doesn't matter if that is down to injuries, unwise transfers or anything else, he simply isn't good enough for the PL anymore.
Actually, given what he was wearing the other night perhaps an extended browse through a few catalogues wouldn't do him any harm! Starting with Dorothy Perkins.
We have to strengthen, can you imagine what happens if Nelsen gets injured? We are also down to 1 forward. We need 4-5 players, 2 CBs, 2CFs and maybe a utility player that can play FB and on the wing. We really dont need Cole, Lampard, Beckham etc who could make the whole thing go pear shaped.
May I also add that it's my view that we can survive with the players we have now if need be. I would ask the forum to imagine what a fully confident QPR squad would be like?
Is the word......awesome.......or is that a bIt OTT DT? Oh and btw ditto wubba re cole, lampard and anyone else in that age bracket
