http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-he-is-open-to-prospect-of-playing-in-England Alvaro Negredo says he is very much up for the chance of playing in England. The Sevilla striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, and the club's president Jose Maria del Nido was in England this week - with some reports claiming he was in London to finalise the sale of his prized asset. Tottenham, Arsenal, Newcastle and Sunderland have been strongly linked, and Negredo admits he would like to play in England. "The Premier League is a great competition, I really like it and I think my style of football would be well suited to it," he is quoted by the Daily Star. "There comes a time when a cycle comes to an end and I don't know whether my time will be sooner or later. I haven't thought about it a lot but I wouldn't mind playing abroad." Negredo says he has spoken with fellow countrymen Juan Mata and Fernando Torres about the prospect of joining them in the Premier League. "I've spoken to the guys playing in England, mainly when we were together at Euro 2012," he said. "I spoke to Mata and Torres and they say it is easier to go out and about in England as there is not as much scrutiny as in Spain. I like that." At last someone I've heard of and seen play. Lol They dont call him 'The beast of Vallecas' for nothing. 6ft 1 and at 27 in his prime. This would be an enormous signal of intent but then there are, as said above, 2 or 3 clubs in for him? If true of course. Really like some of the players we are linked with this window. Sissoko and Negredo to compliment Mangane and N'Diaye would represent some transfer window imo.
I expect he'll go for a Champions League side - Tottenham or Arsenal would be more likely Noocarshel need someone like him most desperately if Chavdew is to save his job
Pretty unlikely, unless Marty is a better salesman than Willy Loman A London club is his most likely destination...
Im all for bringing in another striker and I definitely think we need another one, I just hope that MoN will change his formation to 4-4-2 for certain matches, especially for home games and not have another expensive striker sitting on the bench.
Hope mcfadden starts on tuesday with Whickham, give Alfred about 60 mins then bring sess on, I would have Fletcher on stand by though. Leave the defence as it is.
Pesronally, I don't really rate Negredo, he is slow as ****, and for his side he doesn't put himself about nearly enough. Decent finisher, but he'd cost waaaaaaay more than his actual worth. Won't be happening anyway, so not a concern!
Don't think Alfie can play. Wasn't registered before the Bolton game so think he has to sit it out. Hope I'm wrong tho. Would love both Fletch & Wickham to start upfront on Tuesday (assuming the match is played) but think he will leave Fletch on the bench and play 4-5-1 again.
