City have disabled the sale of ‘e-tickets’ for the foreseeable future. The ‘print at home’ option tickets have caused issues for supporters trying to pass through the turnstiles due to barcode scanning problems. For those supporters who have already purchased an e-ticket for this evening’s match against Shrewsbury Town, they should head to the relevant turnstile – Atyeo turnstile 1; Dolman turnstiles 43, 49; Wedlock turnstile 39, Williams turnstile 10. The club will be holding on to all e-tickets used tonight – once scanned – to continue its investigations into the problems with our suppliers. There have also been problems with the scanning of some season tickets, and some supporters who attended Saturday’s home game with Peterborough United had their season ticket card held due to the fact they weren’t scanning correctly. Since then the club has been checking these season cards in a bid to solve the ongoing issues. Anyone who had their season ticket card held should come to the Ticket Collection Point (Williams Stand car park) from 5.30pm tonight, where they will receive a working card or paper ticket to use at the turnstiles. Once again, the club apologises for the inconvenience caused to supporters. ****in shambles.. There stopping the e tickets cos unlimited people can get in with one duplicated ticket.. What I don't get is the system from last season seemed to work well? I just left my season card in the folder and put it in the scanner.. never had a problem. Changing it all around seems like people trying to justify their highly paid jobs.!
