Just watched a clip with Dion Dublin and Paul Ince about the nonsense of there not being black managers in football simply due to race... They have absolutely no grounds to base this on, and its getting beyond irritating. People like Jason Roberts, Sol Campbell and John Barnes need to go crawl under a rock as they are by far and a way completely wrong about this subject.

I am all for equality in sports and ALL walks of life, but you don't become equal by enforcing clubs to shortlist candidates purely based on the colour of their skin, that's a total contradiction. An even playing field is not created by pushing out a white, hispanic, asian or arabic highly qualified candidates to make room for a black person. Its so obtuse its unreal that the BBC allow these opinions to be aired on television!

I don't know a great deal about Jason Roberts' or Sol Campbell's education, but I can only think they are in desperate need of a better one! Paul Ince actually claimed that it was a crime John Barnes does not have a managerial job in football with all his wealth of experience, and even stated "look what he achieved at Celtic and Tranmere". Yes Paul, LOOK! He became a 3rd best team in a (at the time) 2 team league, and lost 8 out of 12 games with Tranmere using a Brazil box midfield formation!! I don't care what colour your skin is, that is sacking candidacy whatever your race.

Paul then goes on to state that with "all the work I did at Blackpool last year, I shouldn't find it hard to get a job". This is the most backward statement he said out of all of them, because if it were not for his talented son, he would have an even more horrible record on top of the 2 whole months he went without a win! Or the record 9 game losing streak he took the oldest club in the world on before that? Rather than blame financial reasons for his shortcomings at Blackburn, did he ever think "I am just not cut out for it at this level?".

Note how it is ALWAYS the same gaggle of planks that continue to spout this nonsense. If they have an agenda, OUT all the clubs you think are "racist" (which in itself its such a strong strong word to use) against black people. Clubs that no doubt employ black players, black coaches, black backroom staff, doctors, marketers... I am not saying there isn't a racism problem in football, but there definitely isn't a "racism" issue in terms of the employment of black people in football in this country in my opinion.

In the past, I've heard it termed "positive discrimination" in various public sector organisations who have needed to show that they have a relevant percentage of ethnic groups, gender groups etc. Strangely enough, it doesn't seem to matter whether they are any good or not at the job as long as the numbers add up!

The thing that pisses me off is that if this was the other way around (more black managers than white) and 3 white people kicked up a fuss about it imagine the abuse and headlines it would get, branding it racist.

Best man gets picked for the job imo, unfortunatly there isn't many talented black managers but that may change in time.

I for one couldn't care less if Bristol City gave a fat, black, ginger, duchess of cornwall with glasses the head coach job if she was qualified and got us promoted. The reason for the low level of black managers in the league at present is down to the fact they have failed at their jobs, like so many managers do!

Chris Hughton - Effectively took Norwich down
Chris Powell - Sacked by Charlton for being bottom of the Championship
Paul Ince - No win in 2 months at Blackpool, constant disciplinary problems
Edgard Davids - Failed to keep Barnet off the foot of the football league
Chris Kiwomya - Left Notts County due to winning only 9 in 34 games!

All of these managers were let go for credible reasons last season. When you throw the race card at people unjustly, you set the game, the country and humanity back. If they really want to have an open debate, pick people who aren't looking to keep their names in the papers like Sol Campbell or John Barnes.

Jason Roberts at it again today... Rather than have an educated, sensible retort to Mourinhos opinion that there is no racism in English football, that if you are the best you get the top job. Roberts decided to reply with "hsha hahahaha".

Just sending the country backwards and I'm surprised smarter people from all races havn't stepped up and said "Jason doesn't speak for us as a collective, no one asked him to represent our individual views by himself and we would appreciate it if he went to bed". Could not hold a higher contempt for people like him that are viciously fighting for a cause that there is no concrete evidence currently exists in the game in our country!
