Bryan Oviedo was conspicuous by his absence from the Sunderland squad on Saturday for the game with Brentford, and sources have confirmed to us that the full back refused to be a substitute having found out he had been dropped. https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...lands-bench-after-being-told-hed-been-dropped
Ive been so disappointed with him since he signed. Needs to get his finger out his ass or there'll be no takers for him when we get relegated.
I was surprised he was dropped But I don’t pick the team If he’s not happy **** off then No player is bigger than the club We will come back good even if it takes us years It’s sad times
I guess when things are going like they are going for us...then you find the true character of players....most are just F ucking mercenaries, so this comes as no surprise
Then after doing that he starts the next game. Is Coleman all mouth then. He's probably one of only a handful of players well actually get a fee for in the summer (Kone, McNair) the other two. All the other senior players will be free to leave. I'd give young Denver Hume a go at left back. He needs some first team experience ready for next season.
Not convinced you'll get fees for Oviedo and McNair to be honest. Kone, loanees and Watmore come to mind though.
If true, he should have been taken to the crowd and made to explain why he was withholding the services he’s paid for. Or do footballers really have all this power these days ?
I think we will. Oviedo is an International player who'll get exposure at the world cup I'd expect a £1-2m for him. McNair if he can stays injury free till May will see a buyer for a similar price. Konè well probably be lucky to get £3m for now. We'll probably make our money back on McGeady no problem Cattermole Rodwell Mcmanaman will probably be offered free to clubs Oshea Wilson Jones Gibson will all leave at the end of their contracts (no loss and a huge wedge of money shifted) Camp Browning Galloway Ejaria Williams Fletcher will all return to their parent clubs and not one of them will be missed. That's 17 players rid from this squad hopefully including the last pariahs that have failed us for years. Good riddance. Just hoping we have a new owner in the summer and a true clean slate in the summer to try and get promoted straight out of League One
Could it be it isnt ES fault but that the players are p*ssed off that Rodders still gets his full whack whilst they had to take a 40% pay cut so they arent trying? Unlikely but I'm looking at every scenario trying to find out why we are so absolutely f*cking crap.
It could be a factor, most of our players are only with us for the money and are very much focused on that so having someone on twice their wage is something that would cause disharmony. ****in' Rodwell.
Talking of Rodwell is he training ? how near to a comeback is he ?. At least them players are out there trying and can we get Borini and Khazri back for the rest of the season.
