Not so fast <laugh>. If Annie takes him on it won't be so easy this time as Ruby will be tracking the right one.

Delighted by this news! He's in too many to mention accumulators with Mullins runners I've already done for Cheltenham! I'm sure Bob's purring at this news as he highlighted MoT as being the safest Festival bet a few months ago!

I agree Wooly, this horse is a superstar.

Oh my golly gosh! Please, please, please, please, please, I say, please, please, please, please, please tell me forum members aren’t taking prices as low as 5/2 for this horse to win the ‘World Hurdle’?!? Cor blimey, I’d want odds on a par with this re him even running in the race given the fact that the heat is still over 5 months away, the brutal nature of the NH game and the fragility of the breed.

In my naivety I simply see it as 3/1 that More of That doesn't get injured before race time, so I don't think it's that bad a bet at all <laugh>

Is Willie Mullins still planning to step Hurricane Fly up in trip this season? Maybe we'll see him in the World Hurdle too??

    3/1 is a terrific price.

5/2 isn't but then why would you take the worst price in the market?

Taking 6/4 and evens about Quevega the whole way through the season the last few years hasn't exactly hurt the coffers. Taking 12/1, 10/1, 8/1, 7/1, 6/1 , 5/1 about Faugheen last year didn't leave me skint even when Briar Hill fell and broke his cheekbone and cost me packet in the process. It's the risk you take with ante post betting but one I am very happy to assume.

He is Oddy yes but I couldn't have him on my mind for it all, as dearly wrong as I'd like to be proved. I'd expect he'll start off in the Hatton's Grace over 2.5 miles, which he won in 2010 enroute to his first Champion, then possibly take in the 3 miler at Leopardstown over Christmas. He might win the 3 milers in Ireland but he surely can't stay well enough to take on a young gun like More of That over 3 miles round Cheltenham. Can safely say this will be the first Festival since 2010 the Fly won't be burdened with my notes <laugh>

I wouldn’t take 3/1 re More of That either (9/4 now lowest price in market re him and World Hurdle as a few bookie chappies have shortened him further since I first wrote)!

For every Quevega who makes it to Cheltenham there are several more ‘possibles’ who don’t from the point of 5 months to the Festival. In my view it would be foolish to take 3/1 about the reincarnation of Pegasus winning a Selling Hurdle 5 months in advance of ‘tapes up’.

To clarify I’m not saying More Of That deffo won’t win or having a go at More Of That personally. Rather it’s the foolishness of taking relatively short prices about horses so long before the contest in the NH sphere. In the long run it is a very quick route to the poor house.
