Oh he was just being sarcastic, oh well that's ok then. All's fine with the world now then, everything's hunky dory, flowers and rainbows. We're all happy now, we all found it funny, we all think he's the best owner ever and are so sad he is about to leave. It's all our fault for not understanding his amazing joke including all the lesser mortals who were in his divine presence at the press conference.

I don't think so. the bloke is a noodle short of a stir-fry when it comes to expressing himself but he didn't get his money by being an idiot.
Assem is not the man he was. His statements prove that. I spoke to him at length in 2010 and he was quick witted and did not repeat himself. The display on Thursday was that of a man who is struggling to communicate. The one thing that anyone in business will tell you, is that you never stop learning.
Money doesn't make you smart. I've met some rich people who are as thick as pig **** and some very clever poor people.
There's a millionaire frequents the areaslocal pubs, hes not only a bell end but thick as pig **** and regularly gets his head kicked in. He now has to bring his Slovakian bodyguards with him wherever he goes. Fact is, some people just get lucky. He's no business mastermind he just took over a woodyard and it just took off. Likewise his partner in crime who, although not as thick, is far from intelligent, although his wealth is inherited. Now I appreciate that whilst this pair are multi millionaires they are in a different league to Allam, but that doesn't make Allam a genius. Allams engineers probably deserve a good deal of credit for designing and building such a good product, much in the same way Steve Bruce takes a lot of credit for the work he's done here. Allam does have some prestigious awards to his name though.

I find it hard to believe that most millionaires don't get there through a lot of help from other people, some luck and some shady/ruthless dealings. How would most have got that money without exploiting others in some way? Of course if it's not all in public it's easier to do all that.
