More Mutterings From Mr Houllier

Following the “exchange of views” between Steve Bruce and Houllier, I see he (Houllier) is now responding on SSN to Ian Holloway’s charge of publicly unsettling Charlie Adam by attacking a sell-on clause in Holloway’s contract. This agreement is perfectly legal by the way, having been negotiated between the two parties i.e. Blackpool Football Club and Holloway prior to Holloway taking charge of the club.

1. Houllier “It’s none of my business…….” None of this stuff about ‘not wanting to interfere with the affairs of other clubs’. He then goes on to express his opinion as though it IS his business.
2. Houllier “I don’t want to comment………..” then proceeds to do exactly that.
3. Houllier “Don’t forget, I’m not Scottish, Irish or English………” seemingly implying there is some sort of vendetta against him by other managers. Now the last time I looked the managers of Arsenal, Wigan, West Ham, etc did not fall into this category either.

Thoughts?

 

It seems he is trying to besmirch Holloways reputation. I thought that kind of thing was frowned upon down there.

 

I saw the interview, and agree to some extent in what you are saying. However, I can't help feeling uneasy about managers getting a cut of transfer fees, and think it should be stopped asap.

 

At least if it's in a contract it's out in the open, as it were. Unlike the old days when a lot of them were getting bungs. Having said that, I don't disagree with you.

 

I can't stand Houlier, esp this wounded I'm not Brfitish so they're picking on me bollox. Grow some balls you smug t***.
