The Norwegian international is reportedly a target for Arsenal in this January transfer window but Martin OâNeill will be hoping to beat the tentative Gunners to his signature. Although Cisse carried a prolific scoring record in the German top flight, Abdellaoueâs tally this season isnât too shabby either and in 24 starts in all competitions, the 26 year-old has netted 13 times with six assists. Proving himself as a capable centre-forward, the Black Cats are in need of attacking reinforcements if they are to maintain their steady rise up the Premier League table. The North East outfit were being linked with numerous attackers before the transfer window started however the facial injury of Nicklas Bendtner over the weekend may force the clubâs hand even faster. Martin OâNeill now only has Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-Won as natural strikers to select from as well as a number of youth players. Given both the playerâs low experience in the Premier League, one can see why money may be put towards improving the front line. he's always looked canny, rather than great when i've seen him (which is not a massive amount). His goals record is excellent though, and Scandinavian lads settle well in England. £13 million seems a bit (lot)rich.
