evening all, or afternoon. with all the debate about foreign coverage of the game and loss revenue etc, im going to have two pennies say on the subject. its now sat. evening, 15 minutes till kickoff, ive got my supplies in, air-con on and awaiting for the native commentators to finish telling all the locals on what they think will happen (probably the same thing that gray and keys used to say) anyway if it wasnt for the foreign chanels covering games all safc supporters now and in the future would not be able to witness the growth of the club. without these games myself and many oversea mackems could not debate on this forum, sucess breeds sucess, soon sol will be sold out and then nobody will give a toss about foreign tv coverage, but us ex pats will still be cheering the lads on kickoff time time so from 7000 miles away howay the lads
its sucess that bring the casual supporters, sol still getting approx 40000, more than a vast majority of other p/l clubs. its not to do with unempoyment and all that rubbish,(anyone telling me manchester and liverpool dont have high unemployed) sucess will bring them in, maybe get some defectors from other clubs aka. gloryhunters. a cup win etc all build excitment, crowds swell and sol is full. quinnys happy and nothing is ever mentioned about people watching in pubs. p.s darren? darren who, riccos on fire, sess looks fab gordon was shaky for that goal 2nd half beckons, more beer coming fingers crossed
I still cant believe that sombody living in France, Spain or Germany can watch a 3pm game live etc Sunderland v whoever...yet myself living in this country supporting the club all my life yet unable to attend all home games due to distance/finance is made to feel like a criminal in my attempts to watch the lads...... GET IN THERE GYAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
