In the Premier League the whole Suarez saga is still rumbling on and a lot of Arsenal fans seem to think he is not the right kind of person to play for them due to his frankly awful personal nature. This seems very distant and almost like another world from League 1 but looking on Sky Sports transfer centre I saw something that caught my eye. Swindon are being linked with Nile Ranger who was most recently of Newcastle, if your unaware of him he is basically the very worst kind of footballer with an undeserved ego. However, he is a very talented player who would score a lot of goals at this level and I was wondering if hypothetically, if we were looking for another attacker (I know we aren't) would you want to sign a player who is a poor human being but good footballer? I personally would feel very uncomfortable cheering on a player like Ranger if he was in a Gillingham shirt, that said I would hardly be upset if Marlon King was to ever play for us again and he's hardly a Saint! What do you think?

Does football really have any morals left especially at Premiership level?...surely the fans need to look at themselves as much has looking at the players.

I can pretty much guarantee that if I discuss the team I support with anyone that does not know me and even some that do, that the conversation will inevitably turn to the Premiership. Example, Suarez, I probably know two things about him...one he is a Liverpool player, two he once bit someone during a game. That is basically it.

When I was younger I could have answered many questions about the history of football...after 1992 I started to divorce from the higher league game.

For any supporter that mentions morals with in the game, I would probably ask what you contribute towards it. Every newspaper you buy, every Super Sunday Game you watch, every advertisement that captures your imagination for the latest footwear and beyond.

Yes, you can use examples such as the Vale player and I'm not suggesting people should stay away from games, but if you stopped the outside feeders that market and promote the on and off pitch aspects of the modern game, then you will bring some morality back in to it.

After all football survived for nigh on a hundred years before Sky. But it has now turned into a billionaires playground at its peak but well before even reaching that level all human morals become diminished when money is involved.

Let us remember a lot of working class people at pampers league level today cannot afford to go to games. Where is the moral in that. Some people as an excuse will refer you back to the 70's & 80's, that was over 23 years ago now...the only moral of the story I understood was the Wicked Witch of the West had worked out you can have people control via the roots of football and today I watch and rupture a spleen, at the ever increasing consequences.

While the real issues of morals remain unchecked...all for the love of money.

Apart from everyone 'switching off' from football there's not a lot as individuals that we can do.

Teams like ours are lucky to have our support and rely on us to survive........unfortunately to remain in the leagues there has to be a little dealing with the devil too. Not right, but like so many things in life, ultimately necessary.
