You have a choice Liverpool fans.

    1. Bayern München win the cup, as expected, and we have a laugh at Chavski and get on with our lives.

    2. Chavski win the cup, but Roman says, "I've achieve what I wanted, so I'm selling the club to some Indian chicken packers, and I'm off-ski" Chavski appoint Robbie Savage a new manager, the rest will be history.

    You choose!

The first. Chelsea are slipping downhil and Roman's going nowhere fast with his play thing. If they get no CL football next year, it's going to keep getting worse and with FFP coming in soon, he won't be able to spend another fortune to buy their way back to the top. They'll still have the old guys on top wages but now will be unable to pay them, to get rid of them or to buy more and, in my dream, they decend back down to nothing again to finally become a respectable club once more.

That's how it works in my head. I just never want to see Roman buy everything, I hope the CL always eludes him.

Andy Jacobs had a dig at Liverpool's season because we "only won a trophy" but didn't qualify for Champions' League. I want him to feast on his muppet words come Monday.

And it'll be a stark lesson to FSG that you don't buy a team, you forge one, like the King was doing before being so rudely interrupted.

I think there were a few pounds involved on Liverpools part. <laugh> Forged! <laugh> sorry I only came over to the Liverpool board for a quick look but the comments are so funny I have stayed for a bit.

Do you really think Liverpool are a big club not because they are rich but because they have 'forged' their success like a venerable blacksmith.

So clubs like Scunthorpe or Dagenham should be competing with Liverpool & Spurs but they have not 'forged' their teams properly. <laugh>

  5. IF the FFP rules are implemented correctly then Roman's influence will be minimised anyway. Will he leave if Chelsea win the CL...? I doubt it and thats not how I'd like to see Liverpool beat them (similarly with Man Utd, I don't want Fergie to retire, I want us to beat them before that happens (obviously looking unlikely)).

I see the dilemma slightly differently:

    1) 'Arry's face at missing out on Europe after talking up Tottenham's title challenge at Christmas;

    or

    2) Already smug Chelsea fans winning big ears and becoming unbearable

Chelsea win, because they are an English club. Every one was saying English clubs have failed in Europe this season so lets prove the wrong. Plus Di Matteo will get the perminant job, and I'm not sure he will keep it up.

Anfield and Wigan were two of Di Matteos team selections and tactics, both total failures.

he will fail totally next year, and that will show the general knowledge of Chelsea fans in general if they think he is responsible for the reaching the CL final, he is more responsible for them finishing 6th instead of 4th.

Somebody has to attempt to bring you into the real world. <laugh> Being a Spurs fan of many years qualifies me for that (your right) I am immune to disappointment because I have had plenty of it. On the other hand I have the constant pleasure of supporting a club with the right football values. Values which Shankly would applaud. So from one footballing team to another, don't lose it. <ok>

Would much prefer to see Liverpool in the Champions League next season nevermind Chelsea or Spurs..Hell, I'd rather see Everton in it!

  18. Can't argue with that, would rather have seen Newcastle get CL football than any of the London clubs...<ok>

Funny how many Spuds are suddenly experts eh Saint <laugh> its heart warming that they have such quality values for us to learn from though...there's a second hand car dealer called Shady Dave down the road from me...I will tell him to put his C.V. in to FSG and we could model our whole club around Spurs moral values <ok>

It's tough. I really don't like Chelsea after our scraps in recent years, and just generally really.

Having said that I sort of want them to win for the English players and the fact it is England vs Germany. England all the way for me.

Any bragging would be countered by saying I wanted them to win!

If Bayern won I wouldn't be too bothered, but it would give the Germans a boost which they don't really need!
