Ferdinand gone and Bardsley suspended for the next four games leaves us pretty thin at the back IMO With Turner and Bramble not upto full speed yet esp. Turner and O'Shea been in and out of the side with injury it leaves us pretty thin with only Richardson and Brown the two consistant (regarding availability) players that we have in the backline. I know we have young Louis Laing but the way we have started I wouldn't want us to throw the lad in at the deep end. For me with the departure of Ferdinand always on the agenda with him entering his last year of his contract for me Brucie should of brought in another player. Onuoha would of been perfect on another season long loan but with his mother being ill with cancer maybe the location issue might of ruled that deal out but I still think we are a defender short and not forgetting another transfer window without addressing the left back problem. last year we went into the season with Onuoha, Bardsley, Mensah, Ferdinand, Turner, Bramble, Da Silva, Richardson (and Angeleri) now we have Bardsley, O'Shea, Brown, Bramble, Turner and Richardson The same can be said for the left wing berth and esp. the forward line, if Bendtner gets injured we cannot afford an injury to the other two. I just hope we get a bit of luck up until the Jan transfer windows and we don't hear anymore "or the squads not big enough etc." Once is fair enough maybe but twice would be unacceptable.
