Maybe the accidental stroke of luck of putting Danny Rose into centre midfield can save his job. That is if he is left there that is and he doesnt revert back to the system that clearly does not work.

    Sess and Rose CM?

There is no strength there. If someone has a big central midfielder you'd get raped.

He brought on a central midfielder and intentionally put him at LEFT BACK and played the LEFT BACK in centre mid - what's accidental about that?

Tash - you never saw them at the weekend - 2 very good footballing midfielders and rose is very quick and can tackle too - Sessegnon very strong on the ball as well - and remember - he knocked Tiote out by flicking him

I dont see how making a substitute is accidental. when he makes a bad one, often, we give him hell and call him thick as pig **** yet when he makes a good one he's accidentally got lucky.

    Mig
    Bardsley Killgallon Cuellar
    Johnson Sess Colback Seb Rose
    Fletcher/Whickam Saha
With Danny dropping back when needed and maybe Frazer coming on, and hopefully Sebb gets his finger out, because we MUST win tommorow and at Soton, because this is a wicked fixture list in Dec, and MON better tell them players to get into the penalty area when balls is put in, this last chance saloon i believe for MON and two or three players who could be playing into the championship next season, there is major signings needed next month but we have to stick together and hope we get the points. Reading h 3, Man u a 0, Soton a 3, Man c h 0, Spurs h 1.That would do me.

I think this is exactly right RAW - I was thinking earlier - I wonder what people would think if we played fantastically well tomorrow night - were 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go and had had 3 or 4 goals incorrectly disallowed so it should've been 5 or 6 - then Reading scored three offside or handballed goals which were all allowed - I wonder if this would be O'Neill's fault - it's a hypothetical scenario but I honestly think some of our fans would blame O'Neill even though the ref was to blame

If we'd been involved in that prank call it wouldnt have got past the first man. We'd be dead unlucky though, probably just called at the wrong time. Give it time and we'll get through eventually.

Accident? So bringing on Colback (a natural CM) but putting him LB and putting Rose (Our LB) into CM was pure luck, right?

Oh yeah you're right because everyone's first thought is to play a LB in CM, silly me <doh>

The modern premier league isn't about a ball winner you tit.
Where are the Ince's the Batty's the Viera's the Keane's ? If you go in hard these days you get sent off - a la Cattermole. The more successful teams have players who pansy about on the ball in the middle of the park like Lampard, Cleverley, Giggs etc etc. I think O'Neill has seen this pattern but I'm afraid that its not working with Larsson as I think he has never played well for us and should be jogged on in January.
