So the lads down the road seem to have pulled of a canny deal. Although he played for them, i'm sure we all agree he was a helluva player. Ok maybe coming to an end, but sure he will do a good job for them, and may be the kind of player to take them further, good for them. MICK Wadsworth believes Hartlepool United have pulled off an ââ¬Åincredible coupââ¬Â with the signing of South American superstar Nolberto Solano. The former Newcastle United winger, Peruââ¬â¢s most celebrated sporting export, joins Pools in a move which has thrown the national spotlight on Victoria Park. And Wadsworth, who was at St Jamesââ¬â¢s Park at the same time as Solano, is thrilled at the prospect of joining forces with the player he admits was ââ¬Åa joy to work withââ¬Â. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s a great signing and what an incredible coup it is,ââ¬Â the Pools boss said. ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not just a coup for the club, but a chance for our players to play alongside him and our younger players to learn from him. ââ¬ÅHe was a joy to work with at Newcastle and I just canââ¬â¢t wait to work with him once again.
It's an amazing signing for them. He's not as fast as he once was, but I bet he can still but a ball on a 50p piece from 40 yards so I'm sure he'll do a great job for them.
I thought he would have retired by now. Great signing for them, because what he lacks in pace, he will more than make up for in his skill with the ball. Good luck to him and Hartlepool.
