Switching the thermostat down a couple of degrees.

Never wearing designer clothes (apart from trainers).

    Shaving my head myself.

Taking my own dinner to work rather than buying it.

I save a few quid by popping across the border into Donegal for diesel. I am also as tight as a ducks arse and avoid buying things when ever I get the chance.

Get an enourmous freezer or two and fill it with reduced stuff near to its use by date.

The money you waste on 2 freezers plus the increased electricity bills would surely negate the savings made on the food though?

Got a lot of meat in ours: joints, chickens, steaks, chops, each a saving of a few pounds plus nice loaves of bread bought for 30/40p. Also bags of home grown fruit and veg.

The Co-op is very good for bargains at least our local one is.

Get some fat harridan pregnant then give up your job. As soon as the sprog's been dropped get to work and get her up the duff again, repeat until the council have to provide you and your brood with 2 houses. Job's a good un.

bumped this for Saints FTW ( for when next munching on cold pasta bake.)
Whilst you're making too much pasta bake - put some other stuff in the oven- perhaps chicken pieces/ sausages/ jacket potatoes/ pies or a joint of beef etc and cook them together ( allowing for cooking times ) - you can freeze for another time ( carve the beef, reheat in gravy to really intensify the taste of the gravy ) - you'll be using the gas/electric oven to a greater efficiency - & you'll be able to afford to use your micro wave.
