i hope im not out of order writing this as a hull city supporter i have been thinking a lot about your situation and couldnt handle it, it if it were us again. i dont know if this is possible but im sure 99% of football fans would help portsmouth if given a chance to do so. would it not be possible to contact the clubs through out the league and arrange for each team to give maybe 50p or a £1 to portsmouth for every fan they have on a certain weekend. this probably sounds stupid but im sure most clubs would be willing to help to stop one of the countries biggest teams going under. i dont know how this would be organized and if its legal but your club can not be in administration at the start of next summer. i dont know the figures but im sure if something like this was possible it may give extra time for a solid base to be built. sorry if this is total crap i just wish pompey well and hope something happens to change your fortunes. good luck
Why don't you start up a fund for us? As it is your idea, you aren't a Pompey fan, but you are a great football fan to want to do this, so people would think it better to be run by a neutral. You could copy this thread, email it to as many clubs as you can and see what happens. I think it's one of the best ideas I've ever seen on here.
