So - you think that charity begins at home ? The UK Government and / or the English FA will do nothing about the disparity of the distribution of money in English football - all the time the EPL gives £3,3 Billion in taxes. This money comes from television rights to SKY, BT & Amazon. These people are like the Hypermarkets in our communities - who offer spectacular all-in-one venues - with quality products coming at you from all directions --- So much on display - and all at very reasonable prices compared with your corner-shop trader (EFL.) -- whose venue, quality and range of products and prices cannot compete...... and, if we are honest with ourselves, who actually goes to their local corner shop for their main shop ? ...........I could be harsh and say that we only visit the corner shop when we are desperate for a pint of milk - and have to accept the stupid price involved - but fewer of us want to do that - so we learn to never run out of milk or bread - we have our larders and fridgefreezers ( SKY / BT etc ) well stocked. The above scenario is never going to change. The corner shopkeeper ( EFL ), will have to learn to live with the scraps they receive, compared with the rich pickings of the Hypermarkets ( EPL ) ......... ............ If the EFL expect the EPL to become 'charitable' with their wealth, the EPL will point out that it already gives £3.3 Billion to a 'Charity' - the UK Treasury - in forms of taxation. ...and, as we know - the Treasury will always be the first to force its' begging bowl in front of our noses........please Sir, can I have some more ?
Very interesting thoughts. May I add that the hypermarkets also have corner shops to sell there goods so football is the same. Prem teams loan their players to EFL clubs
