Players I think will be off in the summer

    Johnson £10m
    Fletcher £5m
    Altidore £1-2m
    Giacc £2-3m
    Diakite £1m
    Cabral £1m
    N'Daiye £2-3m
    Catts £5m

    Totaling roughly £27m

£27m plus a massively cleared wage budget (baring in mind contracts expiring, high earners such as Johnson & Catts going and the clauses in contracts which will reduce the players' wages) plus any money given by Short, will give us a lot of flexibility in the market.

We will have only have about 10 players left.

This is a massive opportunity to build a squad for a particular purpose. i.e players who will fit into Poyet's system

Hope some of the younguns get a shot. They'll help bulk out the squad and get their chance to step up.

    Yep

Watmore, Ba, Mavrias, Honeyman, Mandron and many others should be given a chance

Colback and Henderson flourished after a season in the championship, hopefully some of these will as well

Totally agree. A few of the bigger clubs to go down and return recently have done well by using it as the chance to blood young talent. One of our biggest problems has been playing 'established' PL players and not giving the next Colbacks, Hendos and Migs enough of a chance.

I'd love to keep Catts. But he and Johnson are probably the best two players we own. We'd be lucky to keep him

If Bardsley has someone in the premier league willing to take him he won't sign a new deal and he'd also be off

Did not NUFC keep the majority of their squad to bounce back next season?

This would be for the best, but in a relegation fire sale the relegated team tends to find that the players they want to keep leave and they're left with the dross. Luckily a lot of our dross are out of contract in the summer.

I can't see the likes of Mannone and Catts (or even Bardsley) sticking around if and when offers come in from premiership teams.

Unfortunately for you guys - they'll be the players that the premier league clubs will want (with the possible exception of Cattermole) the difference in money between the 2 leagues is ridiculous atm.

One thing for sure, Catts wont be here next season not with a younger version in Bridcutt (who is about championsip level anyway) in the squad.
None of the out if contracts will remain at the club and its common knowledge that the bulk of the squad have a 40% reduction clause in their contracts in the event of relegation. Poyet is very much at home in the Championsip and thats where he will target his signings. Our new Director of football has already stated we will be buying UK based players next season, so I think the likes of Jordi Gomez at Wigan are of the ilk we will be looking at.

£10m for AJ? Think you're dreaming there mate. Be lucky to get £5m offered for him.

Of the others, not a bad round up if we can actually move them on that is.

JOS and Brown would go for me too and a new younger defensive partnership assembled. I'd keep Catts and make him captain as he will be a massive player in the championship.
