Do any of you think Ashley might be saving some of the money we have for the January transfer window?

It would be the sensible option. Things can change throughout the season and you just never know who might become available to buy, or who might become unavailable in our own team...

Personally, I think we might see another player being bought in the next transfer window. Nothing special, but just someone to add some freshness mid-way through the season.

It would be the wise thing to do. Cant remember us making any real decent signings in January in recent years. We should do though, because getting a new face in, mid season could do us the world of good.

Pardew did in an interview too, but everyone seems to overlook this recently.

Jan 2011: Wheater for £2.3m, Pennant for £2.8m, Pienaar for £3m, as well as numerous loan deals which likely include a fee.

Jan 2010: Holden on a free, Maxi Rodriguez for £1.5m

    Jan 09: Given for £6m, Nolan for £4m, Etherington for £2m, N'Zog for £6m

Whilst the general trend is that clubs will overspend, don't write it off, teams may be desperate to get a fee for players which may leave for nowt in the summer...

****in hate January transfer window, we always get screwed over in it! Bet we end up selling Tiote or Coloccini or someone vital! And when we sign players it takes them til next August to fully gel with the team, making them nigh on useless for that half a season you just had them for
