Last day at work tonight so just wanted to say to all the lads and lasses on here going to the game on Monday night.......... SING YOUR HEARTS OUT !!!! Lets show all those watching on TV what FANTASTIC support we can give and how much atmosphere can be created in our 'little' ground. We might or might not get a result but one thing is for sure, i would rather be where we are now than where we were a few years ago. Good luck to all and enjoy the game
The excitement is welling up too in this here Herbert. Footie is all about unreflectingly as-noisily-as-possible backing my tribe for me...none of that considered, abstemious, dispassionate dry enjoyment of the finer points of The Beautiful Game malarkey.Got Monday off so plenty of time to get my larynx well lubricated, lose any remaining inhibitions and sing my heart out for the lads. Then I can rush home & phone my bro in California directly after the game - who will have been watching soberly courtesy of Rupert's Fox Sports - to find out the score and hear if the debutantes played well. Sorted. [P.S.1)Fingers crossed my liver bears up and there's no post-match gout. P.S.2)Really must get some glasses and do The 12 Steps sometime.]
Though I can't join you in body I will be with you all in spirit I would be singing too if it were not so out of character for me in the office which is where I'll be when the match is played. Keeping an eye on the 2 minute update as much as possible COYR's
I don't think I can remember a more eagerly anticipated home match, think of last season's Cardiff match and multiply that by about 100 and you'll get some idea of where we are now, and it's just six weeks to the Chelsea match...
