    Chepstow 12:30 Dothraki Prince

Has shown some promise in every run so far and propably would have been placed again when slipped up on debut for todays stable. Tim Vaughn can ready one after a layoff as he proved with a 20/1 hurdles winner last meeting at Chepstow. Worth a small each way bet at 20/1 on offer.

Looks like a slow Monday on here...

The 3.35 at Dundalk looks like a tight knit maiden. Sister Rosetta, the favourite, has run some nice races behind some nice types and now pitched back into maiden company she looks the one to beat. However, it is the Jessie Harrington runner Provocateuse that I am keen on at 4/1. The extra furlong and switch to this track can hopefully eek out further improvement to turn her 3rd run into a win.

I'm sure some of the forums big spenders will be heading to Yorton farm in Wales on Thursday to put a bid in for Douvan's full brother Jonbon. Rudey or Attivo may well be seen in their best tweed with the cheque book ever so slightly poking out from the breast pocket. Jonbon won his point here by 15 lengths at Dromohane yesterday and is currently at Ellmarie Holden's yard. He was purchased for 140,000 last year and it will be a fair whack to take him home after yesterday's win. One to keep an eye on.

I'll make a guess the gavel will drop at 275,000 just for fun.

How very appropriate that Nicholls won the Chepstow bumper today. The race was sponsored by the yard and named in memory of Rose Loxton. If you ever want to know how much the people at the yard thought of Rose then take a look at Harry Derhams obituary on the Paul Nicholls Racing website, its very touching and well worth a read.

A beautiful piece, brings tears to the eyes. They really, truly, don't make them like that any more and more's the shame. Thanks for posting mate <ok>

I'm sure he will be a potential buyer, no doubt will look to leave the horse with Ellmarie Holden and aim him at a tilt at the Pertemps final down the line <laugh> #handicapblot

Be great if he turned out to be as decent as Douvan though wouldn't it. That would be an exciting horse to look forward too.

Harry Derham's obituary is as fine a tribute to an extraordinary and brave person as I have ever read.

Good shouts smokey. Nolan gave Sommer Katze some nice easy ride, once he realised he wasn't going with the leader he never asked any question of the horse, certainly didn't attempt to ride to finish in the best position, for all that he would not of won either way.

Very nice. JP will have the foxhunters at HQ in mind In a few years for that price <laugh> I could only go to €565,000 today, what with Christmas around the corner - so the right man got him.

Going to be interesting to follow this lad, let's hope he's a top one. The most expensive point to pointer ever sold at public auction.

Any idea who will train him? I hear Peter Casey still has Flemenstar's box available in the yard

    <laugh> some chance

No idea, I can't see him staying in Ellmarie Holden's yard, although if I were the horse, that's where I'd like to be, nudge, nudge, wink wink, say no more! I would think Joseph O'Brien or Nicky Henderson would be among the chief ones he would have in mind. I've a sneaking feeling that he will send him to Joseph in Piltown.

The rumour was that it would be trained in the UK as JP wouldn't want the additional VAT from the movement of the horse to Ireland. Surely it'll go to Nicky
