    Racing Post:
Today's meeting at Carlisle has been abandoned after an early failed inspection due to heavy rain during the last few days.

Typical - a drought all summer, small fields due to firm ground and now 2 Meetings cancelled in 2 days due to heavy rain

Lieutenant Henderson sends a strong looking team to Kempton today. Just saying …… <whistle>

Kempton 335 whatsthestory 11/2 has had a winning run since the break , the other 4 have not although they will be primed . The fav is back after ws so it could go either way . I would say the softer the conditions the more chance Newland and STD will get. 11/2 looks a fair price .

A runner in every race (at the time of writing) except the 2.35. Have Jamie and Laura done something to upset him?!? What could that be?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address...

I wonder if they will transfer that £50,000 Graduation Chase to a meeting later in the week??? Shame if they don't as seems too good a contest to lose.

Maybe Cheltenham on Friday??? Anyone seen that card, in 4 days time, by the way. At first glance, a couple of eye-catchers, but overall one would have to conclude that it's not their strongest ever day...

In the Class-2 Handicap Hurdle at Kempton (15:05) over a distance of 2m5f, the Yeats gelding, Jay Bee Why, has a squeak. Form indicates that he goes well fresh, and if fully-fit, should run well, even though it icertainly is a trappy race. Tom Cannon rides for the Alan King yard.
4/1 in most places is the best price at time of writing.

Banbridge could be anything and is certainly very talented. Did me a huge favour in the final race of the last Cheltenham Festival, a meeting I will never forget! As they say, 'every dog has his day!' :bandit:

Overpriced mixer has drifted back to 2s which looks like a sewn up race if they make the finnish

They decided to go ahead with the marriage without a racecourse gallop, hence he refuses to go to the wedding or to enter a horse into the race.

    Saucy <laugh>

So a 1-2 for Lieutenant Henderson in the Pertemps Qualifier and I must say Captain Morgs looked as though a step up to 3 miles would be right up his street. Can now carry on chasing (lovely name for a film laced with bawdy humour) to protect his mark and get into the final off around 135 (assuming he gets a small rise in his hurdle mark for today).

50/1 available re Captain Morgs and the Final. Seems rather generous to me.
