Gee swanny take a chill pill! I'm sure Wooly was merely being tongue in cheek, with the saddle monkey stuff and in all seriousness don't you think APs dedication to go out the day after winning the GN was of huge credit to him? The race he'd been striving 20 years to win, I think a day off would have been VERY excusable in that case. Just my opinion mate.

As Beefy said and cheers mate I was only merely making a comment and the monkey talk was a bit of a joke because of barney! But the jumps jockey bit again was a joke and saying the flat is ridden in plus 20 temps (which must still be hard) compare to riding say in a January afternoon in minus temp! But I respect both !! But AP is a true professional took him 15years to win and rode he next day and I bet he rode out in the morning! That's what he is a role model not just for young jockeys but young children in particular not saying frankie isn't as he is great entertaining and a bloody good jockey and will go down legend but is the other end to AP but I was boy being tongue in cheek i wasn't dissing the great Italian

OK, sorry, Woolie, but it's no joke with SBC, he uses the term too many times, for it to be a joke. However, at least N.Henderson uses them for his nags too, and probably has one sitting on a barrel organ at the stable entrance as well? Who's playing the old music machine, maybe his former vet? AP is indeed a model of a true professional, and an example for all young jockeys. Frankie is different, and has the frailties of most human beings, and was probably slightly the worse for wear yesterday, as I was after my one full visit to the Oktoberfest this year. Obviously I am still feeling the effects even today.

Nassau, , used to have a G&T with my old mum years ago, to keep her happy, but I'm just an honest to goodness beer drinker really. Didn't have too much yesterday either, it's just that derogatory description pisses me off, joke or not.

The reason THAT man rode the day after his GN win is because there is absolutely nothing he won’t do in pursuit of a few extra quid. Meanwhile, I do find all this adulation of that creature in regard to Golden Horn somewhat baffling. Only a matter of weeks ago old boy Gosden was loudly proclaiming that the only reason his star horse wasn’t still unbeaten was because of the duff ride he received on the Knavesmire!

Finally, while I’m on, the word in the ‘corridors of power’ is that old boy Gosden will ‘without a question of doubt’ be offered a Knighthood in the ‘New Year’s Honours List’. If he will accept I’ve no idea – I’m sure it would greatly offend some on here if they learned just how many, of these ‘honours’, are refused! Personally, though old boy Gosden is not the trainer whose shoulder I’d want to lay my sword upon.
